Overall Satisfaction with Raiser's Edge NXT

Raiser's Edge NXT is primarily used by our Development Department as our CRM. We also use their tie-in product Luminate to provide donation forms, event registrations, and email blasts. The NXT product helps us to efficiently track every donor and volunteer or gift that supports our organization. We are able to pull reports quickly, track our interactions, and workflows.

Pros

  • Workflow management.
  • Integrates with Outlook to easily track emails as actions.
  • Easy reports.

Cons

  • I wish the events module was not an add-on.
  • Positive: Allowed us to expand donor research quickly for front line fundraiser.
  • Positive: Tracks data efficiently, cutting down on the number of reports needed.
  • Positive: Workflow reminders are easy to set up and keeps us all on the same page.
Raiser's Edge NXT is a much better product than the standard RE that we had in the past. The function of RE7 was very bulky, cumbersome to operate, didn't have an ease of use, and overall was something I didn't look forward to using. Raiser's Edge NXT looks better, works, better and overall is easier to use.

Raiser's Edge NXT has been a great fit for us as we upgraded from the RE7 platform to this. It made it much more user-friendly for our front-end fundraising team to access the information needed without having to know all of the technical sides of the back-end. Our team has been able to be more self-sufficient in pulling the data needed rather than only depending on our data team.
If you didn't sign up for the extra hours of customer service after implementation it can sometimes be hard to identify "live" help. They do have a great online help papers area and a community board that other users can answer questions to help with. That has been really helpful in identifying help when needed.
Raiser's Edge NXT is well suited for fundraising teams that need to have access to information quickly. It is easy enough to use by front-line fundraiser on the go but also allows for some quick add-in, like through Outlook to quickly add in interactions as actions without having them go through a long process. It is also a good product to pull reports quickly.
