Overall Satisfaction with SAP Sales Cloud

We have implemented SAP Sales Cloud last year in our organisation. We use it as a stepping stone for our call center agents. This way they use one application to view all kinds of information from multiple sources. The scope that we use it for is all customer information, like personal information, loyalty information, etc.

Pros

  • Searching customers
  • If you are used to old on premise it is quite similar
  • Screens are highly customisable so you can tailor it to your needs

Cons

  • Version 2 seems to be much better but you can't convert your license
  • performance is not always very good
  • we receive quite often notifications that system is not available
  • we are going to use it as our single hub for our agents, this should reduce call handling time
  • we are a fairly small company and as licensing is done per user the business case is rather easy to make
  • In the future we anticipate to use it for our account managers, this should reduce the time they spent on administration as this should work much better in SAP Sales Cloud
We haven't connected SAP Sales Cloud to a backend like SAP ERP. We are busy with connecting SAP Sales Cloud to sap customer data cloud. By using SAP Sales Cloud as the main application and sychronising the data between the applications our staff does only need to used SAP Sales Cloud and not the other environments in our landscape. This should lead to a seamless experience
The application itself scales automatically, this is something that we don't have to look into and that is addressed by SAP themselves. As we are a small company we don't have many sites and departments but if we want to introduce SAP Sales Cloud with new colleagues and/or departments this can be done easily.
We had a comparison between SAP Sales Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics and Sales Force Optimization, we selected SAP Sales Cloud for three main reasons: SAP Sales Cloud meets our requirements the best, especially in comparison with Sales Force pricing is more attractive and as we use multiple SAP products the integration between different sap products works well

It is very well suited if your environment consists our of multiple SAP systems. The integration between various sap systems works very well. Also integration with various Microsoft Azure applications (for example Azure Datahub) is good. Integration with other non sap systems is more difficult. Also using it as an offline solution is limited
