Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic

We utilize ScienceLogic to monitor our infrastructure and populate our CMDB in ServiceNow. We had 16 different monitoring tools prior to its purchase. We are still learning how to utilize and market it as a service tool for our organization. We hope in the next year to expand scope.

Yes - When we started this journey we had 16 tools. Each served a purpose for a siloed view of the needed user but none fed into our ServiceNow tool to alert the entity as a whole to help us learn and change manage successfully. This has been a transitional accountability journey to be sure.
As stated previously, this tool now feeds our service management tool which is providing increased visibility. This transition forces accountability in a factual black and white way and it can certainly be transitional for a company culture. This takes leadership support to be a plus and not a minus to your teams.
Every new infrastructure device is now part of the discovery process. Things don't get "missed." The CMDB is more reliable and it provides more accurate information with which to make factual decisions. We hope to add application monitoring in the next year along with providing useful dashboards for the SME's.
ScienceLogic provides escalation of incidents via ServcieNow. We have recently built out an automation team to begin looking at the top time/resource saving actions that we could utilize the tool for. Like many organizations; the resource investment needs to be made to harness the full potential of the application. In healthcare resource margins are tight. Anyway ScienceLogic could help with the justification would be helpful.

For an enterprise that is not used to overall enterprise transparent monitoring ScienceLogic could do a better job at providing some sort of marketing material for the new users. As you know, lots of things become "uncovered" with this tool and the ability to market this as a positive would be helpful.
