Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
ScreenConnect is used in the support department to help our team connect to customers servers that host accounting software. When our customers have a problem we need to connect to their server directly to see what's going on. We have used LogMeIn and TeamViewer in the past but deploying on Linux left us looking for a better solution. ScreenConnect was the answer.
Pros
- ScreenConnect connects quickly without lots of downloading, installing lag time. There is some of that but it is minimal.
- ScreenConnect is more reliable on Linux connections. You can't support customers with unreliable connections.
- File Transfer are a breeze with ScreenConnect.
Cons
- It would be nice not to have to download anything to connect initially.
- File transfer should allow specifying the directory on the server. It currently allows user to change folder on their own desktop.
- On my version the full screen button takes over the screen but the connection remains the same only centered. Full Screen would be nice.
- Increases support efficiancy
- total cost of ownership lower than competition.
- Easily scalable.
ScreenConnect had cleaner connections with Linux and was equally as good on Windows. The cost was lower with ScreenConnect.
