Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
Screenconnect is used to facilitate remote support for new customers, as well as remotely administer existing customer systems and conduct repairs and maintenance. It allows us to solve problems for customers without having to drive several hours, and outside of business hours.
- Unattended access - screenconnect has a great web interface for managing unattended computers remotely. It allows you to issue terminal commands and see the client connection timeline without having to establish a remote control connection.
- Easy first engagement workflow - Customers are able to browse to a site and choose a remote session from a list very easily. Also the subsequent screens that guide them are targeted to their specific browser.
- Unexpectedly useful functions - Screenconnect is great because of its chat, its toolbox, and its robust 2-way file transfer.
- Direct LAN connection - it would be great if it noticed you were on the same LAN as a client and established a direct connection locally. This would be doubly useful for file transfers.
- Local rendering - one thing that makes RDP great is that its interface elements are all locally rendered rather than being rendered on the client and sent as images. This makes it really robust over slow or lossy internet connections.
- I wish screenconnect would remember my client quality settings on a per client basis between sessions.
- The mobile app should be like RDP, where you use it like a trackpad to move the cursor around and tap with one finger to click, two to right click, or drag with two fingers to scroll. The existing clicking buttons and scroll wheel are way too small on my Nexus 6p.
- Screenconnect has reduced the amount of gas my technician uses.
- Screenconnect allows us to support customers from a much wider service area.
- Screenconnect has enabled our customers to know we are keeping an eye on their systems for them.
Screenconnect has a more flexible interface, and is much less expensive than the competition. TeamViewer costs way too much; Zoho Assist is terrible.
