Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise

Splashtop is amazing simple lightweight software for remote access. Having the power to remote support a user from off the network without the complication of VPN or other software. We had issues with users trying to give us the IP address from the VPN to use on our Dameware off-campus. So we needed something simple but also easier for end-user to use. We were surprised by how easy the software was used for end-users. It literally took 5 minutes depending on the end-user internet speed to connect from our techs. The software for the techs is easy to use with lightweight and simple menus. Not to mention the chat option for techs and end-users to communicate. This is our campus standard remote support for off-network. Also, another great thing about Splashtop is the license inventory. You may assign the license to the user account via email, add or remove users.
  • Remote support off campus if VPN is not installed.
  • Remote support off network with simplicalty to support users.
  • Easy to use software for end-users during support.
  • Easy Licensing of techs and admin on website.
  • PDQ impletation to deploy the software to the devices.
  • Free swag when you puchase license for enterprise.
  • N/A
  • Achieving remote support in a quick way and reaching uptime goal.
  • Cost-benefit on software how simple the plan is with support users.
  • Improve proformance with in tech on support other users.

Having the secured invitation from email and sending the link is good. Makes it more secure that is coming from the tech that the user knows. Another feature is the acceptor deny when connecting to the end-user from the tech side. To prevent another unauthorized user to come along and accept the connection when the authorized user is away from the desk.
We onboarded Splashtop Enterprise within minutes of purchasing because of the trial. The trial gives an idea of how to implement the software and utilize the software. Another is training on how simple the software was a turn-key type of software without too much training. Once the onboarding was complete it took only less than 24 hours to use it in the real world situation.

SolarWinds Dameware Remote Support (DRS), VNC Connect, Zoho Assist
We had a user with network drives being disconnected at home and connected with the home network. The user did not feel confident about how to connect the VPN for the network drives to be connected. We sent an email to the user and let them download the SOS software. Once that was issued and the user was right away show us the code to connect. It took less than 5 minutes in total to issue the invite, code, and connect from a tech. The software is suited at best in these quick situations especially with users having issues with the device's large learning curves.
