Overall Satisfaction with Sprout Social
Sprout Social is used to track key social media metrics, monitor social media campaigns, track social media engagement, and provide social media reports to key stakeholders including supervisors, directors, and other executives. Additionally, we used Sprout Social as a way to schedule content and help create a content calendar we could follow.
- Scheduling content
- Aggregating analytics from various social media platforms
- One-click reporting
- Fairly basic interface
- Analytics are surface level
- No social listening
3 - All of the people that use Sprout Social are within the marketing and communications team, particularly focused on social media and digital content. The main social media manager uses social media, the reporting and analytics coordinator uses it, and our digital manager uses it to track our content social calendar that was developed.
- Monitor and increase engagement on owned social channels
- Easily report on social media activities to higher ups
- minimal cost so not a huge investment
Sprout social is a bit more advanced than Hootsuite in my experience, but it does not stack up to other social media monitoring or analytics tools that I've used as far as functionality. Having said that, it is a significantly less expensive tool than others such as Cision or Crimson Hexagon.
