A nice task manager for weekly use
Overall Satisfaction with Todoist
I've used ToDoist as a task manager for my consulting firm, as well as personal use. Having all my tasks synced across all my devices was a key sell point to this solution. Also - having a simple method to add tasks to specific projects and prioritize the quickly and easily was important to me as well.
Pros
- Multi-device sync - Sounds basic, but who can live without this?
- Scheduling - Ss simple as typing "Tuesday at 7 pm" or something similar, and the system schedules the task properly, no date/time picking.
Cons
- Outlook/Office 365 - Integration is seriously lacking/non-existent.
- Task view - I'd like to see a weekly/monthly view.
- I was able to use this to effectively schedule and track daily and weekly tasks.
- I was able to see, via goals, if I was actually finishing things in a timely fashion.
The primary reason behind my use of ToDoist fell upon the multiple devices syncing and the ease of which to set up a task by using plain English language to set the date/time. When comparing ToDoist to the other solutions I listed above - ToDoist wins on these two items, but loses on Project management regarding Smartsheet, and overall to Microsoft 365 Business. With Microsoft - you get the task to manage within Outlook along with To Do - their replacement for Wunderlist - which allows much deeper integration with tools I already use.
