Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We use TriNet for all our HR related functions, specifically Payroll and Benefits.
  • Provides a robust benefit package for our employees
  • Has a nationwide operation
  • Has designated client service personnel
  • The systems are adequate, not great.
  • Client personnel are constantly changing. We are on our third representative in 26 months.
  • Initial implementation was good, but we found out later that things were missed.
The service is highly dependent on the person. Some people have been great, others meh. In one case where we ended up speaking to a labor lawyer about an HR issue, it seemed that the advice we had gotten from the HR "specialist" was wrong.

The transition to the new system seems strange. It has been in Beta for months, and when you click on some icons it takes you back to the old version. I can't create my own reports.
I can do most of what I need to do online and I can contact someone for the rest.
  • It has improved the benefit package we offer our employees.
  • It has reduced the time needed to manage payroll and benefits.
  • It makes it easier to onboard new employees.
TriNet has better systems and customer service. We switched because Paychex was making routine errors and I did not have the time to monitor them. The customer service was not good, and management was very unresponsive. They even made the transitioning process difficult, which was the final nail in that coffin.
I think it is good for small companies like ours. I am not sure how good it would be at handling more complex organizations.

Using TriNet

9 - 1 person uses it for administration, the other 8 employees use it to access their payroll and benefits information and manage PTO.
Not sure what is meant by support.
  • Payroll
  • Benefits
  • PTO Management
It is getting expensive for the quality. The systems continue to disappoint.

Using TriNet

ProsCons
Technical support not required
Unnecessarily complex
Not well integrated
Inconsistent
Slow to learn
Cumbersome
  • Submitting Payroll
  • Getting reports out
  • Finding things - the new version seems to be missing functions
