Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

TriNet is our PEO. They manage payroll, benefits, wage, and hour tracking, etc. We have our own internal handbook but do rely on TriNet for HR and labor law guidance. We use the “hire” module and our staff relies on the portal heavily.
  • Staff portal to enable to staff to track and manage all their wage and benefits matters.
  • Great benefits pricing - beats all our peers, enabling us to deliver high-quality benefits while remaining in budget.
  • HR guidance.
  • The performance management tool was new and had too many issues a year ago.
  • We’ve had a few admin errors recently, but the team has been attentive in resolving them and working to fix the underlying problem.
  • We wish the HRIS had better APIs to connect it to other systems.
They recently restructured and added a lead account rep. This has helped with some overall coordination (across all their depts) issues. They’ve also been responsive to switching account reps when they’ve not been working out
Mostly excellent. Some reporting improvements and API additions would awake it exceptional.
  • They’ve been transformational around benefits offerings due to the low cost. Allowing us to better recruit and retain staff.
  • As we expand to new cities, TriNet has allowed us to do this quickly and with low administrative cost.
  • Not being able to integrate old HRIS data from pre-TriNet has not been ideal, though it matters less as the years pass.
We were interested to look at alternatives and ensure we were getting the best deal for our staff and the company. Only one came close to the cost of the benefits and we were loath to switch the employee experience without a solid reason. As we grow our system needs and the cost-benefit calculation may mean TriNet no longer makes sense, but so far it does as we approach 200 employees.
Anyone looking to lower their cost of benefits for staff should take a look. Obviously, it depends on the profile of your employees/risk exposure, but they continue to beat other competitors in this regard.
