Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

We are a small business and so TriNet's offerings of large employer benefits was appealing to us. We ended up saving money by switching to them. I also like the fact that when we have a situation in the workplace that needs counsel, I have been able to reach out to TriNet and they take the time to research and get back to me in a reasonable time.
  • Offers many benefit options for employees.
  • Assigns a dedicated Account Manager.
  • Providing employers with up-to-date information on labor trends and laws.
  • Easy for employees to get the answers they need instead of always having to go to HR.
  • The app. The are adding some admin features but I would like to be able to do more.
  • The ability to customize the dashboard. The ability to see employee birthdays.
  • As an administrator, when I log in, I want to have it default to the admin/manager tab. It would be a nice feature since that it typically the tab I always go to.
  • The ability for employees to congratulate others on promotions, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
For the most part, I do not have to remind TriNet to get back to me. This is nice. My last PEO was horrible in responding back. It annoys me to have to remind someone to respond to me. As you know, some HR related matters are time sensitive and I feel that TriNet knows this. I also feel that they listen to me. I had an issue with my first account manager not getting back to me when they said they would. I reached out to my original sales guy and within a few days, I had a new account manager and I have had no problems with the communication timeliness.
I like the TriNet platform but I will say that I don't believe it is the easiest to use. I have been with platforms such as ADP, UltiPro, Great Plains, Paychex, and Gusto. So far, Gusto's platform is built in a way that it is easier to find what I need.
  • Improving in HR compliance. Having someone to reach out to for counsel is nice.
  • We pay 100% of employee medical premiums and we save a lot of money switching to TriNet.
  • The TriNet reference library has been a great feature to find information or use templates.
I feel that TriNet did a good job with providing the tools necessary during the pandemic. The weekly newsletter was helpful to keep up-to-date.
Out of all of the platforms, I still think that Gusto is the most user friendly for employers and employees. However, they did not provide the support that I get with TriNet. In just a year, I feel that TriNet is listening to it clients and have already made changes to improve their system. TriNet, provides better support than any of the other companies I have used in the past. That is more important to me that the software.
After being with TriNet for a year, I can see how they have helped us as a small business. Even though I know that we are not a large revenue producing company for them, they don't treat us any different. I get the same support as I would get if we were a multi-billion dollar company.
