Overall Satisfaction with UserTesting

I use UserTesting multiple times per week. I am Director of User Research at my company, and conduct multiple kinds of research using UT. I use it for unmoderated usability testing (click through prototypes, etc), moderated in-depth interviews, to test surveys, and get feedback on new product concepts.
  • Quotas for different test types would be extremely helpful
  • Ability to search across workspaces, and improved search in general
  • A more consistent user interface across the platform (functions behave differently in certain places, for instance)
  • Improved ability to manage contact lists
  • Improved scheduling features
  • Cost savings
  • Avoiding poor user experiences from going to market
  • Improved design and user flows
Support is responsive, but unfortunately isn't always accurate or helpful. Support articles are sometimes out of date or confusing.
The learning curve with UserTesting is pretty steep. The overall UX could use a lot of improvement. It seems pretty stitched together without a lot of comprehensive reviews of the overall platform experience.
I have been able to very quickly - sometimes overnight - bring insights that product and business owners need to make key decisions about features to build, and even pursuing brand new product lines.
In terms of overall cost and value, UserTesting stacks up well. While the platform's overall usability could be improved, and it lacks certain features that other platforms offer, we could not find a better platform for quick, reliable insights in a recent comparison.

Do you think UserTesting delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with UserTesting's feature set?

Yes

Did UserTesting live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of UserTesting go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy UserTesting again?

Yes

I love UT for quick usability testing, or to test a survey, for instance. Recruiting is fast and easy as long as your audience is well-represented. It is less useful for niche audiences like some of the ones we recruit for.
