Overall Satisfaction with Wrike
Our Marketing and Creative team uses Wrike to manage project requests and marketing campaigns. We needed a project management tool that really let us customize our blueprints for projects, select SLAs, and monitor performance to stay aligned with our company's goals. The tool helps us track how many campaigns we have planned and currently running in order to properly plan so we can better set our expectations.
Pros
- Wrike dashboards help us see into the full team's scope of work so we can properly set expectations for turnaround times
- Wrike's automation tools help us take the manual load off our plates so we can work more efficiently
- Wrike's blueprints help us to ensure no task gets missed on a new campaign when there are so many items involved in a successful launch
Cons
- Navigating Wrike has proved tricky for some of our team member's
- The sheer amount of capability Wrike has to offer can be overwhelming, it's hard to know what all there is to offer and how best to properly utilize the tool
- I'd love to see automation features go even deeper/more specific
- Our creative team can more easily track completed tasks and arrange by date ranges to be more accurate
- By having everything now consolidated in Wrike, we have less channels we need to communicate on so less things fall through the cracks
- The calendar view lets the team see into all live, planned, and scheduled campaigns to keep launches steady and consistent
Using automation features have saved us time specifically by using an automation that will notify an individual when a task has been moved to "Awaiting Approval", that eliminates any manual need to notify the person. We've also set up an automation that when a task gets moved to "Incomplete Details" it will automatically notify the Author to either add more information or move due dates to a new realistic date.
The features and automations in Wrike definitely overshadow the previous tools I've used. I think Asana has a slightly better visual appeal to it and I found navigation simpler vs Wrike but how detailed you can get with a tool like Wrike is unparalleled. Basecamp was actually very hard to navigate and wasn't super intuitive. I also felt it lacked functionality in comparison to Wrike.
