Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Zenefits is a full service HRIS that is easy for employees to use and for HR teams to implement. We use it for our entire organization. We used it as our first transition from a spreadsheet and filing system to an HRIS, and as a result improved our business efficiency greatly.

Pros and Cons

Easy to implement - does not require a large project team or months of work if your data is already prepared.
Makes for a smooth onboarding experience - employees are impressed by how much paperwork has been eliminated on their first day!
Provides easy to access business intelligence reports that improve our decision making.

International functionality is limited and should be improved.
Updates to the product could be better communicated.

Ease of administrative tasks, which has allowed HR to focus on strategic issues.

Namely, UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software UltiPro), BambooHR, Justworks and Gusto

Zenefits works really well for small businesses. Implementation was quick and we were able to integrate easily with other products in our HR tech stack. While the other products also have similar functionality, Zenefits has an ease of use and a fair pricing model that worked well for our company.

Usability

Zenefits is easy to use - both from an administrative and from an employee perspective - because of the simple, intuitive design. Minimal training has been involved for staff, and I rarely have to field questions about the software. Usability is an area where Zenefits really shines compared to other HRIS software.

Support Rating

I've had support through my client success manager, using the in-product support feature, and via their customer community. All of this coming together has created an infrastructure where I can get my questions answered and any challenges resolved. In addition, the Zenefits product is constantly improving and the product team regularly previews the upcoming roadmap with customers. I've given feedback to the product team and seen the product improve over time - which is delightful as a customer.
