Mautic Community Edition is an open source cross-channel campaign management software solution designed to enable users to build email, nurture campaigns, personalize messages, execute A/B tests, and measure results. The open source edition is community supported. Support is available for Acquia Campaign Studio, which is based on Mautic technology acquired by Acquia in May 2019. Acquia Campaign Studio is available on the
I've used MailChimp before and I liked their product as well, however, data protection is key in our organization. As we are working in multiple countries, some of which have very strict data protection laws, and it was important that we kept the data stored on servers in …

Chose 7Sheep
It offers automated marketing with an integrated communications approach which enables my entire department to use the tool for a wide range of tasks. As a non-profit we don't need a traditional enabler for a sales tool but we do need the marketing, awareness raising and …
I found 7Sheep to have better and easier email campaigns, as well as text message campaign functionality. In addition, all features are included in all plans.
7Sheep is easier to use as forms are integrated into contact lists. HubSpot was not affordable for our organization because of our high number of contacts. Didn't want to sign a year long contract.

Chose 7Sheep
I've mostly used survey monkey and google forms and doodle for small inexpensive jobs - anything more sophisticated always seemed to cost more than the actual fee I charge. 7sheep does everything they do, but it automates a lot of the processing, for a cost which is affordable …
I've used Salesforce (not Pardot) in the past. Hate it due to the sheer complexity of the product. I looked at Marketo and HubSpot and we weren't open to signing a year-long contract for a product that we didn't know well. Much better than cobbling together email, excel, Survey …
Salesforce and Dynamics may be fine if you can afford them, but don't offer much more than what you get from Mautic, for free and with total control and longer term active development.
SugarCRM ended development and maintenance of their Community Edition around 2018. The …
Infusionsoft, at the time I tested it, had a crazy editor--very unintuitive and not very clean. Mautic (open source) makes it much easier to build up campaigns. Besides that, it didn't provide what we needed to justify the lack of possibility to self-host it and the requirement …
We had originally tested Mailchimp and Sendy, but they are best used as bulk email marketing tools. Where Mautic really shines is as a full-service contact resource center, so you can do full contact list management, as-complicated-as-you want drip campaigns, all still while …
I have used Acton Marketing Automation and Mautic is very comparable to it. Acton is very pricey for a small business and Mautic offers many of the same features. Acton does, however, have support that will setup your system for you. Mautic does not have that if you are setting …

Chose Mautic
Well, it's like the same tool, but with different features. Overall, it is a friendly tool, easy to use, reliable, and it protects private information. We love it as I said before, we recommend it. It's a great asset. Mautic has all you need for your marketing needs.
Mautic is the new kid on the block, bred from an open source product, we chose to purchase the hosted/supported version. I felt like it stacked up very well against Act-On and even Pardot. I like their data API push and pull with Salesforce - very quick, and the queue was …
Mautic's competitive advantage is cost. Other solutions can be prohibitively expensive, and some other marketing automation solutions I had used required costly up-front investment for onboarding. I chose Mautic because I had grown weary of the aggressive sales tactics and …
I use 7Sheep for marketing as a sales person. This works well for me as a single user. I do not think I could use the software together with my colleagues. Although we could have separated lists the access rights might not fit our use case. It has a strong marketing focus and cannot replace a full CRM system.
Mautic is well suited for users who do not require a lot of maintenance on the technical areas and have only the general requirements of the email marketing sector. In case the users have more precise requirements and are more focussed on the quality and a proper quantitative analysis, Mautic would not be an ideal choice. In other words for small companies Mautic would be an idea choice where the budget is a constraint and the extent of use is low but in cases where budget is not really a constraint against the performance and quality, Mautic would not be an ideal choice.
Mautic is very good at tracking website visitors. Visitors are first marked as unknown, however, once you get a signup Mautic automatically updates their profile.
The personalized tags cannot be accessed from the menu/page you create your emails. I get around this by opening two windows, but in the future this might be an improvement.
I needed to create custom reports in order to get the overview on the campaigns that I needed. More generic reporting would be a useful feature.
I would like to be able to duplicate e-mail campaigns across different activities/databases. I could set up a mailing template for this but sometimes it would be good to be able to just re-create a particular campaign that we received a good response to for another, entirely different, activity.
The tool serves our needs and we like the user interface. The few times we contacted support they were super helpful and responsive. When we asked for more integrations they confirmed the integrations we need (e.g. Hipchat) for the near future.
With both chat and email support I have always had enough ways to get through to them! Their support is good, honest and most importantly supportive. They helped us set up and start using the tool when we got stuck. Moving from Mailchimp where there were some semantic lessons to learn and they took the time to help us get used to 7Sheep
I've used MailChimp before and I liked their product as well, however, data protection is key in our organization. As we are working in multiple countries, some of which have very strict data protection laws, and it was important that we kept the data stored on servers in Europe. MailChimp's servers are in the US, as is the case for many other similar companies. That alone was a major reason for us to go with 7Sheep, which is a European company that keeps all data stored on servers in Europe
Salesforce and Dynamics may be fine if you can afford them, but don't offer much more than what you get from Mautic, for free and with total control and longer term active development. SugarCRM ended development and maintenance of their Community Edition around 2018. The long-term roadmaps for free versions of SugarCRM or its forks were very unclear
I was previously part of a survey with 7Sheep and results showed that we were saving 20 mins per participant per event we held, a working week for an event of 100 people.
Automating our operational logic with the admin triggers in 7Sheep means there is no time lag between tasks and teams, certainly greater efficiency.
Tracking engagement on our site and with our outbound campaigns means better and faster reporting and enables us to report on impact in a more quantifiable way. (On the human side, my team members get positive feedback from our target audiences which is very motivating. It is nice to see data backed up by people.)
