Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Analytics

I think Adobe Analytics is well suited for small or large businesses with the brain power to understand how the platform works and then use it to its full extent. It is a powerful platform that can become costly. I would not recommend AA to people who are beginners or have a limited budget for analytics.

Link Research Tools

If you have any problems with your rankings or a decrease in ranking position within google it is very good to make an Link Audit with the Link Research Tools. Then you Screen all Links manually and setup your disavow-file easily. With the Link Detox Boost you gain Rankings back so fast. The last time we used it for a client, we got back the rankings within a week to 170 Positions within the Top Ten, even Position 1.

Pros

  • Adobe Analytics is very visually pleasing and user-friendly; my favorite thing is the simple drag and drop feature that makes the workspace flexible and clean.
  • Reports are easy to read with the help of graphics; another reason why Adobe Analytics is visually appealing.
  • Customer support; while it is sometimes slow to receive help, at least customer support exists, compared to Google Analytics.

  • Quick Links - it provides an outrageously thorough backlink profile in no time. You can see mentions of a URL and what anchor text is connected to you instantly.
  • Disavow - using the disavow tool has helped clean up some of our particularly toxic clients in a very quick way. It's amazing.
  • Comparing competitors - looking at our competitors and being able to see what link juice they have and how we can utilize that is wonderful.

Cons

  • I mentioned customer support before as being a 'pro' because it exists, but it is also an area where Adobe Analytics could improve. Support is often slow to respond to inquiries.
  • Adobe Analytics can become very expensive, though this is dependent on your usage.
  • Adobe Analytics is not for beginners. It has a steep learning curve, so if you are a beginner, make sure to get the most out of your money and understand how to use the platform.
Liz Wade profile photo
  • Accessibility - the layout is not as intuitive as it should be. Of course, this is a professional tool and not meant for the faint of heart. However, the design elements could be more intuitive.
  • Redundant tools - our company utilizes several of the tools to help audit and augment our client profiles. Some of the tools may be a bit redundant. However, it's not a terribly big deal, as we just don't use those tools.
  • Limited searches for certain price points - I understand that there has to be competitive pricing especially with the level that Link Research Tools is offering. However, it would be nice to have unlimited searches.

Likelihood to Renew

Adobe Analytics9.8

  • New pricing models are very expensive compared to old pricing model, even though it includes several additional tools, most of which seem to be beneficial
  • Horrible support experience despite working with escalation teams to try and resolve
  • Several bugs in recent releases which remain unresolved for many months at a time

Usability

Adobe Analytics6.8

I use Ad Hoc and Omniture. If I had to compare the two (which I have throughout the review), I would have to give AA an overall 9. We do not pay for "Adobe Workspace" and have limited seats available for Ad Hoc. I've experienced frustration with creating reports in Omniture and waiting for the page to reload.

Support

Adobe Analytics5.7
Based on 9 answers
Not very many companies get this one right, but I will say that although I may not like their standard technical support, they do make it very available and with the help of a good account representative service issues can be handled well.

In-Person Training

Adobe Analytics3.6
Based on 3 answers
It was a one-day training several years ago that cost the organization several thousand dollars. There were only about 10 people in the training class. Adobe tried to cram so much information into that one-day class that none of our users felt like they really learned anything helpful from the experience. Follow-up training is too expensive

Online Training

Adobe Analytics8.0
Based on 4 answers
The online training for Adobe SiteCatalyst consists of short product videos. These are ok, but only go so far. For a while Adobe charged a fee for this, but recently made these available for free. There are many great blog posts that help users learn how to apply the product as well.

Implementation

The success of implementations depend primarily on the solution design, and also on the ability to work with developers to get the solution implemented correctly. This is not an aspect of the product per se.

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Analytics is used in conjunction with Tealeaf and Splunk in my organization, with each having its specific use cases because of the different strengths and weaknesses. Adobe Analytics wasn't actually chosen by my organization, but rather it's what all the various lines of business use at my company so we want to all use a similar, consistent tool.

Link Research Tools are the only tools that gives us the most backlinks. No other tools finds as many backlinks to the website than LRT. LRT takes Backlinks from 25 Sources, even historic Backlinks from Majestic (>5 Years). It is very important if you disavow links that you have the best view on the links and that you can have as many Backlinks as possible for your audit.

Return on Investment

  • Campaign optimisation, we run many campaigns so getting rapid feedback is essential for making changes or terminating if there's poor performance.
  • It's the essential tool for telling us how to make change on our website.
  • An essential 2nd data source for cross checking data from BI and other systems.
  • Increased employee efficiency as users become self sufficient with data opposed to making requests through BI.

  • This service is invaluable. It is one of, if not the best, tool that our company employs. It opens up possibilities for so many opportunities to clean up our clients from toxic SEO companies. A good portion of our job is making sure they are not toxic, so it helps to have a tool like this.
  • Link Research Tools also helps tremendously with lateral-thinking link building. Going down an anchor text rabbit hole can lead to amazing results which can augment our clients and help boost their profiles. We can become aware of new link opportunities with the URLs Link Research Tools presents.
  • It improves the value of the websites for our clients. By visibly seeing what anchor text ranks where, we know what to target and what we can improve on. We can see what is not sticking and try to improve it.
