I have found Square to be quite reliable and easy to use. The reports that Square has to offer where you can check your sales daily, weekly, or monthly is also a positive perk. The feature that you can create an invoice or estimate on the spot and email or text it helps to …

Having used a manual cash register and a very expensive and robotic card payments processor (Global Payments which was partnered to our business bank, HSBC), we knew we wanted something that would cover both cash and card transactions, and integrate with our website.

Ayden has been a great resource for us with international transactions. We know that they can be a trusted gateway when it comes to dealing with our client's money. Thankful to have that confidence in this system. It also has a user-friendly interface, which allows for a concise process with clients as well.

Square POS is by far the easiest POS software to use at events and train additional team members on - even with temporary or first-time employees. It's easy to see how each event is doing in live time. It gives the event manager a real-time view of revenue earned. Its really easy to create/manage/delete users to keep the platform secure.

We had a client who wanted a QR to use in their marketing, which enabled their clients to donate to us. It was so useful to be able to set it up, and we can track the views and donations received using this code. Another client with issues with our website wanted to set up a monthly subscription, so I sent her a payment link, which worked brilliantly. For clients that want to make one-time donations, it also lets the client choose the amount. The only scenario where we haven't been able to help is when clients want to change the card associated with the payment - whilst we understand it is for security/gdpr, it means they have to cancel and set up something new, which poses the danger that we may lose them as a customer.

Mobile transactions (not like from a phone, but in terms of the ability to physically relocate rapidly).
Simple setup.
Generally uncomplicated pricing.
Widespread customer familiarity: because it's so regularly in use in our industry (musicians/entertainment professionals), people know and trust it in a way that you might not with a different provider.

I would like to be able to create my own reports, like a combination between "Received payment details" and "Interactive payment accounting".
Maybe you can have a better integration with PayPal. The disputes are reflected all wrong in Adyen, for example if we accept a chargeback in PayPal, in Adyen we see a "chargeback reversed" status first, then we see a "refund" status. This is very confusing for us, we have accepted that chargeback, which means we have lost the case, what are a Chargeback Reversed and a Refund statuses doing here? I think PayPal is trying to unblock the transaction that received the chargeback, but this is a very confusing way of handling the chargebacks. If I look at the "Dispute transaction details" reports, all the PayPal chargebacks are "won" because of that "Chargeback reversed" status, which is obviously wrong, we lose some cases and we win others.
Amex chargebacks could be integrated. We don't see them in Adyen at all.

I don't really foresee anything being able to dislodge Square from our organization—we're not evangelists or anything like that—it's just the best solution we've found for our use case. Being able to quickly handle transactions from customers and then track all of those sales for analysis/bookkeeping later on.

Stripe is the leader in the industry when it comes to any type of industry. All that is needed is a plan and then implementing that plan either with a developer, or through the help of Stripe's customer service team to assist in getting you setup. The ease of use time it takes to get up and running is second to none

Stripe offers a very easy-to-navigate platform with many different functions. From linking it to our website and accounting platform to tracking our payments, being able to issue a refund quickly if required, and setting up QR codes and payment links for subscriptions or one-time donations, it really covers so many aspects that we need and use on a weekly and monthly basis.

Response time are as expected, and Adyen team is always knowledgeable and are clear subject matter experts. Quite often I am assigned an engineer who is not in our time zone and sometimes 8-12 hours different from me. This causes delays in resolution due. It would be great to have a support agent who is located in the US.

An admission - I have NEVER had to use Square POS support. The system is seamless, it just works! I have never had any queries about how the system worked as everything is so clearly laid out. I have never had any problems with payments. If their support systems are anywhere near as good as their software, I think we'll be in good hands.

Stripe's support is nearly perfect – great attention to detail, fast response times, and a willingness to really dig into issues and get to the bottom of them. In the five years we've been using Stripe, the only negative thing I can say about their customer support is that it seems like there has been a slight shift to less technical front-line support agents, which means it's more likely your issue will have to be escalated before you get more information. This, however, has happened as Stripe rolled out more real-time support features like call and chat, and that really isn't workable if you're escalating everything right off the bat. It's absolutely an acceptable trade-off.

Adyen has better handling of Disputes, provides much more detailed forecasts and withdrawal reports. Adyen has a specific page to clear doubts much more complete. Adyen have not fees for processing refunds, have not fess for chargeback received, and have not fees for retry process payments. And your processing fees are very attractive.

We only used Square POS while we were getting set up with Authorize.Net. It isn't as flashy or recognized by the general public, but in our industry, that isn't a priority. We do very large transactions so the higher rates and fees from Square add up insanely quickly making the lower rates and fees from Authorize.Net the nail in Square's coffin for us.

Stripe is easier to use and offers better support and rates. My favorite part with Stripe is probably their ready-to-use plug-in that's offered for me. We have multiple eCommerce stores and we rely on our payment process going smoothly. The plug-in from Stripe is free, constantly updated, secure, and very easy to implement.

It is good to synchronize the payment details that come from Adyem in our CRM and this allows us, now, to manage refunds and subscriptions in there and get any action done in real time and recorded in all the platforms.
Quick and reliable it is a good tool to be used for managing and checking credit card transactions details.

The opportunity cost of waiting for payments and manually bringing them to a bank means that we don't have to visit our bank branch. That alone saves us several hours each month.
We can use ordinary computers and mobile devices with Square instead of paying for expensive software or terminals.
Our clients appreciate not having to process payments to us, and anything that helps our clients and makes them happy carries more import than I can explain in this space.

It makes getting money from your clients really easy
It gives your clients the guarantee that their payment information is totally secure and confidentially used and kept
It is very easy to integrate with online assets of the company
In a couple of occasions, some companies have wanted me to use Stripe for them to pay me, and I have had a couple of hiccups. This was more related to the way that these companies set up the Stripe integration of my account to their platform. In both cases, the integration has not been possible and to this date, I still do not know why with exactitude.
As I said before, the commissions kept by Stripe could be lower, and shared with the CC companies, rather than having us clients pay for all of o it.
