ApplicantPro is well suited in a environment where an employer isn't hiring a ton of people - this is because ApplicantPro is built with some automation, but you do have to pay attention to each individual candidate.ApplicantPro would be less well suited for a company looking to hire a lot of people or a company where they want to post a ton of different jobs

Workday HCM requires constant and a lot of HRIS support and in the event that a company cannot afford to staff accordingly it may create a lot of frustration. The system allows for a lot of flexibility in customizing and automating processes; however, that also requires constant maintenance by an experienced technical team. Workday HCM is a great solution for companies that are looking to capitalize on employee and manager self-service, standardization of practices, compliance and automation.

  • ApplicantPro makes it easy to post jobs externally through just one posting system.
  • ApplicantPro job posting is very easy - simple questions that are quick to answer and copy/paste features.

  • The user interface is intuitive and familiar. It mimics the current Apple interface, so end-users are not intimidated by the design.
  • It is highly configurable. It allows you to set up processes and workflows that make sense for your business.
  • It has a great support system. The Workday Community is great for general questions and networking with other Workday professionals. And the Workday Support site is a fast and efficient way to get your problems resolved.

  • While Applicant Pro interfaces with many HRIS platforms to streamline onboarding, unfortunately this option is not available for us (though I'm not sure if that's Applicant Pro's fault or our HRIS provider's fault).

  • I would like to see certifications opened up to professionals other than consultants by Workday Training.
  • Some of the reporting functions can get very complicated for the general end-user. If you are not generating reports on a regular basis, a lot of the functionality can be lost or forgotten.
  • Integrations can be complicated and hard to understand. I would like to see Workday provide more support on integrations, rather than pointing clients to expensive 3rd party consultants.

It is work to make one system the source of truth for our data, but now that it is done, there is less work involved in staying on this path. This means for us that maintaining and/or implementing new modules like performance, finance, talent, etc. is simple. It's a no-brainer

Workday is still learning about the needs of higher education. I have seen rapid improvement in support and knowledge over the last year so am confident this will continue to improve. Overall however, I have found the Support Team to be extremely responsive and Workday offers the advantage of having support across several timezones so that we never wait more than a few hours for a response.

• In-person training. WD was not very upfront about cost of training. It is quite expensive (had to travel to either Chicago or California, on top of training cost) and we could only afford to send one person (me) to get basic training. Basics were somewhat helpful, but could have been better. She got bits and pieces, but felt that a sold week of more rigorous, systematic training would have been better.

These two systems are similar in that they track applicants, can store offers, automate email responses and allow easy job posting. I think that PeopleSoft is a little more advanced and has more overall options/safeguards, where as ApplicantPro is still in a learning phase both within themselves and for us as a company

It is user-friendly, easy to use, easily links to other systems, has great reporting features, and can have all the data you need in just one place. I highly recommend it to any company looking for a best in class Human Capital Management tool.

I think customers will find that is easy to add on additional functionality in the system.Workday does make it easy for customers to make changes without relying on IT resources. The Business Process framework is a visual tool that allows functional resources to make changes and see the flow of the transaction

  • We went from receiving about 10 applicants per job posting to 50-100 (depending on the job). That might sound scary but AP makes it easy to manage and select candidates for interviewing. We have a better applicant pool and better hires as a result.
  • They have a feature that posts our jobs to local universities and the state job board (which is required in our industry). This feature is huge for us and not everyone offers it.
  • Bringing in a hiring committee and involving the manager has had a very positive impact on hiring and workforce management over the last several years.

  • I did not make the purchase decision on this tool so I would be unable to determine ROI.
  • In regards to my day to day job duties, this tool has helped me tremendously with real-time access to sales compensation information. It helps me to accurately and efficiently do my job and not worry about outdated information.
  • This tool and specifically its reports feature help me catch errors soon as they are inputted incorrectly in the system. I then can have the data corrected in a timely manner.
