SharePoint has been difficult to search (not a very powerful user interface or search filtering functionality). Brainshark didn't provide everything we wanted.

From an investment perspective, Highspot was very reasonable in price for both the main platform and the LMS. The ease of use and management seemed to be a lot less than some of the others we looked at. If we had a more robust solution, I could see where there could be value …

Brainshark is very user-friendly and it’s very easy to create learning content, even a beginner could walk through it fairly easily. They also have a great support team and help site that can pretty much answer any question with video tutorials.

Great for delivering insight on which personas are engaging with the material shared. If I've had multiple meetings with personas, but they have not engaged with my proposal, I'm now able to understand the priority of our partnership and how it ranks within their other initiatives.
I love how easy creating a Brainshark and their formal learning is to use. Upload an animated Power Point, record audio, add music, or use videos etc.
Their formal learning also keeps track of people in classes, allows us to invite people to a curricula, send notifications when classes are added, and update on the fly without having to resubmit all new classes.
I also love that people in classes can run their own transcript and see where they are in a program, and if graded how they scored.

From an admin perspective, the platform is very easy to navigate, build and launch new content and informational pages for our team.
The search feature within the platform is very accurate and does a great job of curating the top content based off of what our reps are looking for.
The ability for our reps to hit 'edit in word online' or 'edit in Excel online' is great because our reps don't have to download a doc, edit it and then re-upload into the system. Any changes they make are auto-saved and stored right in Highspot. They can then present straight from the platform.

Our customers (internal employees) have expressed desired for online learning and we have received positive feedback on the Brainshark modules used in eLearning and communications. We are also increasing usage at the project level as the word spreads about the benefits of using Brainshark.
I love Highspot, it saves me a ton of time every single day. I like how my correspondence looks professional and I know what I'm sending is accurate and company approved. I'm able to add it to an email template in seconds and choose multiple brochures if it fits the information the student wants or requested. I can also customize templates to make them company specific when appropriate

From the user side, it is great. Easy to see assigned courses and what's been completed. The admin side has a longer learning curve, and takes some playing around to understand well. There are still some times when I have to think, "how do I do x again?" With that there are probably features we are not taking advantage of

It is a very intuitive website with easy navigation. I am also able to search by market name alone to get all the information that I need within that market. It is only as good as the information you place into it, but the naming conventions should be standard across the board.

I'm always able to access Brainshark, whether it is to upload, record, share, download, or view presentations. Whenever I do need to contact someone at Brainshark, there is always someone there. I have never had a problem accessing a presentation and any updates to presentations are viewable immediately.
We've found a few glitches and needed some branding updated. Each time we've called, they were super responsive and cared about my issue as much as I did! They've even helped me (and another vendor) figure out how to have this other outside software integrate with theirs to achieve an even greater presentation. I'm super impressed with their Customer Service people.

I have not needed any customer support until now, I guess this is because they work on a proactive maintenance of the platform. We have an internal team working with Highspot so if I need help I go to my internal team not directly to Highspot. I have never heard any complaints.

The training is easy to use. You can take as little or as much as you need. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. There is a variety of training you can take. There are mini lessons, courses, and webinars. The folks at Brainshark truly want to help you have the best presentation possible.
There are a lot of sites that allow you to host/share content in the loud. What won for me was their tracking, analytics, and reporting. At the time there was nobody even close to Brainshark and I have not seen anything since that would make me want to switch. I look forward to many years working with them.
Dropbox was sufficient for storing content in an easy to access space but, provided us no value beyond that. SharePoint actually made us less productive due to the amount of time our sales team had to spend searching for the right piece of content. Neither solution provided us any analytics as to what content was being used/engaged with.
Highspot provided us with intuitive content search and organization with the ability to tag keywords, search queries, and fine-tune categorization of all of our content. Highspot also provided us with direct feedback when our customer or prospective customers were viewing content which enabled us to follow-up at the perfect time and was directly attributed to several closed won opportunities. Their Outlook integration is the icing on the top as it allows our sales team to share content, access email templates, and link communication back to Salesforce without ever having to leave the email client. With these features combined Highspot has made me drastically more productive and efficient in my work.

Client satisfaction - we send out summaries of our big webcasts/conference calls via Brainshark. We've received lots of replies stating they love the format because they can consume the information on their own time.
Time to market - before Brainshark, it took several days, if not weeks to work with a design team to get professional-looking summaries available. Now, we have the process down to a day or two.
