I prefer Network for Good because of features, support, and training. Bloomerang was already the SaaS platform in place when this organization contracted with my service team.
Network for Good is a lot more expensive, as far as I can tell, even for their basic package based on …
Network for Good has now allowed us to stop using Bloomerang and Constant Contact, allowing us to use one platform for donation and communicating with our donors, volunteers and adopters.
While many similarities between Network For Good and Bloomerang, I feel that Network For Good is easier to use, especially creating newsletters, forms and emails.
I prefer the dashboard and the ease of use of Bonterra Guided Fundraising to these other products. Bonterra Guided Fundraising is also well-priced, but I picked it because of its usability.
The applications have some similar functionalities, especially in the area of creating newsletters and email campaigns, but I find Bonterra Guided Fundraising is easier to use.
For us, Bonterra Guided Fundraising offered the best overall bang for the buck. There were cheaper options that didn't over the features we needed and more expensive options that we felt didn't offer features as good as the ones we were seeing at Bonterra. For an overall option …
Network for Good has been good to us over the years but with their current move into more expensive subscription models, we are looking for new software that will be able to stack against them. They have become too expensive for us to simply use them as a dedicated donate page …
If you are a small organization just getting started, Bloomerang can be a good fit. It is simple and straightforward for development staff who maybe aren’t super savvy with data management or analysis in spreadsheets. In the sales demo they will try to upsell a lot of extras that are ultimately not necessary unless your stuff is very unfamiliar with database software. The base price of the software is something like $300 per year, as long as you mix all of the training and phone support add-ons they initially present you with.
I used Network for the Good to run a fundraising event it was awesome. My organization is part of a larger regional non-profit dedicated to servicing those in our community who need a little help. By banding together under a larger regional organization, we can extend our impact through the utilization of Network for the Good across all associated organizations. It empowers smaller groups to have a larger impact on their community.
Reporting: Once I understood the logic behind Bloomerang's reporting tools, I could not believe I'd ever worked a different way. Some of our funders request very complicated reports and getting the relevant data out of Bloomerang is SO much easier than it was with our previous CRM tools.
Website integration: I love the tracking functionality that Bloomerang offers, as well as how easy it is to integrate event ticket, volunteer, and other forms into our existing website.
Intuitive design: I've introduced total novices to Bloomerang and been very impressed with how quickly they've been able to figure out all the top level navigation as well as deeper functionality.
In exporting reports, it would be helpful to have a "select all" option so you can easily select everything without having to manually click each one.
In exporting reports, it may be helpful to have the option of saving various options for different needs so you don't have to manually click or unclick each choice every time, as you can currently only save one type.
It would be helpful to be able to change an event/ticket information after it has already gone live for sales as we recently had an issue with this.
#1 - I am very happy with the product and support so far. #2 - With significant data migration costs, I wouldn't even consider another option for at least 3 years no matter how much better it might be.
We are still learning and rebuilding our nonprofit using this platform, so this year is a trial run to see how we can increase our network and our donations. So long as we are able to see a significant return on investment in terms of donations received through the platform, we will renew for next year.
Data and settings are very customizable to fit the needs of our organization. We are able to not only keep track of donations, but also other interactions we may have with a constituent. Support is extremely helpful when issues arise.
BGF is an easy-to-use platform for entering, editing, and analyzing customer or donor data and giving. I would highly recommend it to any organization looking to improve its customer relationship management functionality. As a previous user of different CRM platforms with other non-profits, BGF has made tracking donor information and communicating with donors much easier.
In 5+ years we have never had an issue with it not working when we needed it to. It is very reliable and doesn't seem to have a lot of bugs or interruptions in service.
It is always fast for us and reports have a very quick upload time. We don't integrate it into other programs so I'm not 100% sure about that, but it always works when we use it and is very reliable. Even when we run Excel files for complete information on donors, it always works very fast.
Any time i had a problem or question it has been easy to find an answer or tutorial. When I cannot find an answer, it is easy to email or live chat with support and they resolve my problems very quickly.
Most of the time they are quick and friendly and help me resolve any issues. There have only been a couple of times that we couldn't find a resolution and I was just told that NFG didn't have that capability.
We only had one hiccup with the domain that was an issue on our end but NFG struggled to help us. It was finally resolved and we've been good ever since
We left DonorPerfect for Bloomerang. I had come from an organization that used Raisers Edge and there was no way I was going to stay with DP. RE is great for larger organizations with staff dedicated to the database, but we were a much smaller organization and needed to have something we could all use easily. We demoed Salsa and Neon and liked them both, but Bloomerang had better integration features and seemed to be the most user-friendly.
I like Bonterra Guided Fundraising more than OneCause because OneCause was only used for events at the last nonprofit I worked at. Bonterra Guided Fundraising allow nonprofits like ours to have event pages, fundraising pages, and donor management software at a better cost than OneCause. Ultimately, I would always choose Bonterra Guided Fundraising!
Because my organization has been using Bloomerang for only one year, we haven't yet studied what impact it has had on our ROI. We have, however, noted that we are able to more efficiently and more rapidly communicate with constituents now than we were able to before we had Bloomerang. We can quickly and efficiently generate acknowledgements and tax receipts - and do so - better than we ever did before.
We went from raising only 12k at our gala to needing to implement the auction software as we work to raise 75k at our next gala. We wouldn't be able to facilitate such a large event without our software.
We're able to streamline a lot of tasks. Instead of using several interfaces, we're able to rely solely on Bonterra Guided Fundraising, which saves a lot of time.
We're able to dream about expanding the ways we reach people. Instead of simply sending out emails or using Facebook, we can send out newsletters and promote events with their own website link, which is a huge step up.
