Network for Good had more usability and was overall more useful than DonorPerfect. It's also less glitchy. The whole team can use Network for Good, but only our Development team used DonorPerfect. The integration of communications, ticketing, and forms are priceless. Network …
I used DonorPerfect 4-to 5 years ago at a non-profit I was at at the time. For our purposes, it met our needs. I will say that I would pick Network for Good over DonorPerfect in a heartbeat if given the chance now. The system is much more robust and I find the data tracking to …
My final selection was probably between Bonterra Guided Fundraising and DonorPerfect becasue they had comparable usability and pricing. I really appreciated Mightycause for small operations who need an inexpensive tool, but their site required too many integrations to make it …
Network for Good has similar properties but has a lot more to offer. The dashboard is much more user friendly and visually pleasing. We also like the reports that can be pulled, the video thank yous are a huge hit, and the newsletters have come a long way with their …
I prefer the dashboard and the ease of use of Bonterra Guided Fundraising to these other products. Bonterra Guided Fundraising is also well-priced, but I picked it because of its usability.
NFG had more fluidity between platforms and in it's communications. The others felt heavy handed as databases, but hard labor to create a simple letter to quickly email or print in real time. Thank you acknowledgements took two or three steps when in NFG you add a donation, …
Network for Good is so much easier to use, provides better reports and my coach has helped us set practical sustainable goals that will move the organization forward. ECA was fortunate to receive a grant to help us obtain the use of the platform and coaching. We needed the …
I have looked into other options that offered online mobile giving platforms, but had not found them to be any better or more comprehensive than Network for Good. I apologize that I can't remember all that I looked into. In some cases, the others were much more expensive. They …
I have only ever used DonorPerfect, but I have looked into two or three other options over time. I apologize that I cannot recall all their names at this time. What I found was that even though they typically brought more to the table at that time, the cost jump was huge and …
I used Network for the Good to run a fundraising event it was awesome. My organization is part of a larger regional non-profit dedicated to servicing those in our community who need a little help. By banding together under a larger regional organization, we can extend our impact through the utilization of Network for the Good across all associated organizations. It empowers smaller groups to have a larger impact on their community.
I love that I can integrate with Donor Search to learn about a person's past giving history to learn more about their interests. DonorPerfect also lets us upload a photo of our donors so we can easily identify them when they visit us or Attend a function. I wish the photo upload offered a larger image and multiple images, some donors send me pics of their visits and pets and it would be great to also store those right in their DP account.
DonorPerfect is extremely customizable in every possible way. I love that you can customize what you see when you view a donor's record and how you see it. Fields can be active or hidden, and arranged in any way you choose. In addition, you can create custom fields and parameters, which can be used to enter text freely, as a drop-down box, or as selections with check boxes. The other awesome thing about the options for customization is that you can add, remove, or change fields at ANY time. My organization has used DonorPerfect for over 10 years, but just a few days ago, I added a field to the main screen in our donor records that is now relevant and helpful to my colleague and me as we work together. I feel like the possibilities are limitless in making it DonorPerfect your specific needs.
DonorPerfect reports are extremely versatile, and can literally be created to produce any data set imaginable. You can create, name, rename, save, and delete any reports in your profile. You can run very broad, lengthy reports, (which generate surprisingly quickly!), or very specific, detailed reports. You can create and save filters for quick use, or start from scratch each time you run a report.
In exporting reports, it would be helpful to have a "select all" option so you can easily select everything without having to manually click each one.
In exporting reports, it may be helpful to have the option of saving various options for different needs so you don't have to manually click or unclick each choice every time, as you can currently only save one type.
It would be helpful to be able to change an event/ticket information after it has already gone live for sales as we recently had an issue with this.
We are still learning and rebuilding our nonprofit using this platform, so this year is a trial run to see how we can increase our network and our donations. So long as we are able to see a significant return on investment in terms of donations received through the platform, we will renew for next year.
BGF is an easy-to-use platform for entering, editing, and analyzing customer or donor data and giving. I would highly recommend it to any organization looking to improve its customer relationship management functionality. As a previous user of different CRM platforms with other non-profits, BGF has made tracking donor information and communicating with donors much easier.
In 5+ years we have never had an issue with it not working when we needed it to. It is very reliable and doesn't seem to have a lot of bugs or interruptions in service.
It's always up when we need it. There are some errors that happen and are not reproducible and cannot be resolved. But [they are] very few and none that cause disruption for the organization.
It is always fast for us and reports have a very quick upload time. We don't integrate it into other programs so I'm not 100% sure about that, but it always works when we use it and is very reliable. Even when we run Excel files for complete information on donors, it always works very fast.
DonorPerfect is as reliable as your internet connection. It is a cloud based application and therefore you cannot pinpoint where the bottleneck is should you have one. But for the most part the app runs quickly.
Most of the time they are quick and friendly and help me resolve any issues. There have only been a couple of times that we couldn't find a resolution and I was just told that NFG didn't have that capability.
Support is so easy. We use chat most often - as we can get someone quickly. The support folks know the product and get answers quickly. If they need to escalate an issue, they do so quickly. The training is great and easily accessible. You can take classes over and over until you completely understand concepts
We only had one hiccup with the domain that was an issue on our end but NFG struggled to help us. It was finally resolved and we've been good ever since
DonorPerfect provides an extremely easy to use importing tool and the support team was awesome. You don't have to do it in house; for a reasonable fee you can get it done by them.
I like Bonterra Guided Fundraising more than OneCause because OneCause was only used for events at the last nonprofit I worked at. Bonterra Guided Fundraising allow nonprofits like ours to have event pages, fundraising pages, and donor management software at a better cost than OneCause. Ultimately, I would always choose Bonterra Guided Fundraising!
I have only ever used DonorPerfect, but I have looked into two or three other options over time. I apologize that I cannot recall all their names at this time. What I found was that even though they typically brought more to the table at that time, the cost jump was huge and I couldn't justify the ROI to myself. But DonorPerfect has continued to add to what they offer and I was glad I never changed platforms.
[There have been] only two outages since we have started using it and they were extremely information proactive. This should scale easily based on your internet connection.
We went from raising only 12k at our gala to needing to implement the auction software as we work to raise 75k at our next gala. We wouldn't be able to facilitate such a large event without our software.
We're able to streamline a lot of tasks. Instead of using several interfaces, we're able to rely solely on Bonterra Guided Fundraising, which saves a lot of time.
We're able to dream about expanding the ways we reach people. Instead of simply sending out emails or using Facebook, we can send out newsletters and promote events with their own website link, which is a huge step up.
Positive - using a standard Donor management system across a wide geographic area has reduced our infrastructure costs and training requirements
Negative - We are not realizing the full potential of our donors because we are missing opportunities for engagement, and missing connections and opportunities because DonorPerfect's limitations.
Negative - Limited/poorly implemented API has significantly increased our development costs as we struggle to implement DonorPerfect data with other internal systems.
