what works well for Dice Open Web is that it can be used internally within a company very well. the groups of jobs with same skill sets across teams can be well displayed on the web and thus candidates can apply to multiple jobs in one go. ability to customize email templates, …
DICE Open Web works well when you want to find IT specific candidates that are available in your local area. What I particularly like is that if you post a job, Dice Open Web/Talent Search will return potential candidates that meet your requirements. It is a proactive way they provide candidates from what you could do manually using their IntelliSearch tool to find candidates. I find that DICE is overall much more effective when you have a job to post and the candidates apply rather than doing a blind search. There are too many factors that make candidates returned by DICE Open Web not necessarily interested in your position. When candidates apply they have shown interest and then you can apply the Screener tool to help narrow the pool.
ZipRecruiter comes in very handy when you need top talent from a broader geographical reach quickly and perfectly matching all your criteria. Also very suitable for small to mid-sized organisations with not so heavy talent processing due to the spamming cannot be ideal for a mass recruitment exercise as sorting through tons of resumes to discern the right ones can be overwhelming.
ZipRecruiter is very easy to use, even for those who are not tech-savvy.
The platform offers seamless options to mass-message out all candidates who have applied. This eliminates the time-consuming efforts to have to message out to each candidate.
ZipRecruiter parses and connects well with our ATS platform, which makes it easy to track information as well and manage candidate profiles.
Dice Open Web seemed to not be able to keep up with other platforms and some features and functionality were either missing or quickly became obsolete.
It doesn't really seem to remain competitive on the landscape and feel behind in product release and feature updates.
Some information was outdated and didn't get regularly refreshed or updated it seemed. Just kind of churning the same information as before or the lack of reach was evident over time.
I'm assuming we will keep using DICE, but Indeed and LinkedIn are starting to prove their value and strength in having candidates/consultants use their services to look for new opportunities.
Results. The bottom line is the results we are getting. We are seeing not only quality applications, but quality hires that can directly be tied to our use of ZipRecruiter. The ROI is second to none - a simple and easy to use tool that is driving healthcare professionals to my various clients.
ZipRecruiter is very user-friendly and is extremely reliable when searching for new talent. There are numerous features to help you when you have questions about a posting or your profile. The filtering process is awesome and you have so many ways to find the right talent with the screening questions provided by ZipRecruiter.
Dice provides ease of sourcing candidates and is the most useful in staffing industry. However, we still recommend the team to provide older version access to the user which was much easier and flexible to use. Dice posting is the best feature in Dice. The Boolean Search feature in Dice is also very useful.
Have not had to utilize support recently, but in past instances they have reached out within 12 hours to help rectify any problems or answer any questions about features and functionality. The only issue I ever had with them was trying to clarify, when they previously advertised that they posted on 200+ job boards, if that meant that your job would for sure be posted on each job board. Turns out, by the way, that they only guarantee distribution, not posting
I received multiple candidates only after hours of posting my jobs on other sites. And for a fraction of the cost! I not only received quality candidates but also candidates who actually matched my requirements. These sites also have the option for proactive outreach and pay-by-click options as well. Some also provide free trials, which Dice does not.
We also use LinkedIn currently for sourcing exempt level candidates and use them to search for candidates. We like to use ZipRecruiter as a complement to LinkedIn. We have used Indeed.com in the past but, found that sponsored jobs are not as cost effective
ZipRecruiter did not provide much positive impact. For sponsored posts or during our free trial, we did not receive any qualified candidates. Our ATS posts to the free ZipRecruiter board, and we have had candidates come through there, but have actually hired very few.
ZipRecruiter would have had a more negative impact on our ROI had we continued using the paid option. However, we felt it was not worth it and discontinued. Others may find it more beneficial, but for our hiring patterns, it wasn't necessary.
