Chose Verint Community
I believe Verint Community stacks up very against previous solutions I have worked with. For an externally facing community, I think Jive-X was the best in class for many years, and Verint matches up very well from a features and configuration perspective.
Verint is easier to use, but we are able to grow our community without limitations. Pricing model is more competitive than the larger platform providers and the professional services and Support services are excellent.
We chose Verint because we are building a technical ecosystem of various technology platforms and needed an online community platform that would allow flexibility and scale as we grow. The open API was a big factor in the decision. We liked the pricing model and as our …

Chose Verint Community
Verint Community scored significantly better in our RFI efforts than all the other platforms considered. Ultimately we also needed a platform that could be deployed on-premise on our own servers and Verint was able to easily deliver.

Chose Verint Community
There are many different enterprise ready community platforms on the market, and each one has its own superpowers. The greatest strength Verint has to offer is the complete control a community leader has over the design of the community to build their vision with few …
As stated in my opening, Verint fulfilled all of our business needs and has the most robust out of the box functionality. Many of the other platforms require heavy customization for design and reporting. Telligent has a full library of drag and drop widgets and a theme studio …
It's definitely worth considering Jive for the type of application we've developed i.e. a central shared repository for all employees to host and discuss information. I can't say I have ever used a superior tool, but they may exist. I'm just not sure I would want to use it exclusively for file hosting, though. It does integrate with various other tools, so perhaps it would be fine if used in conjunction with another tool for that purpose.
The Verint Community is extremely well suited to external customer communities. The different content types (forums, blogs, events, ideation, etc.) are all very easy to configure and manage. If you have use cases designed around engaging your audience then I would recommend this platform. It is easy to manage members, create workflows and processes, and configure features to your needs. Perhaps the only issue the platform has, is that someone with no developer resources or budget may struggle to take full advantage of the platform's capability.
Presence of Russian language (localization can be independently established)
You can configure several information tapes with different themes. One for work, the second for communication
A newly-arrived network user immediately receives a prepared block for beginners. After completing several game tasks, the user will receive the basics of using Jive.
There is a template for each scenario. There is even a template for planning R&D, and there are more than twenty of them.
Integrates with MS Office, Google Drive, Google Docs
There are all platforms (even Winphone and blackberry)
Forums - organizing forum questions and identifying answered
Various layouts of blogs, divided by groups to enable different or similar layouts throughout the site. Ability to enable all to view the same or have particular groups of blogs to stand out and have it's own look and feel
ability to customize widgets to the needs of your use case
Built-in themes are limited and require licensed 3rd party plug-ins or web developer to design more engaging user experiences than what is available out-of-the-box.
Most worrisome: Community seems to be Verint's forgotten product despite being solid and dependable. Engage conference features less and less content each year for this product. Little to no promotion, tutorials or how-to videos make this appear to be a less important focus for the company compared to their other products, which many users don't particularly need.
There's a reason the Community product was at the top of Gartner's list more than a decade ago. Your team was a leader in this category. Even though the enterprise community software segment has changed in the ensuing years, building sustainable communities is now more difficult than ever. Those of us responsible for building communities need your voice and leadership more than ever.
Please be vocal champions of "community of practice methodology" and what you know better than most of your competitors: The best practices of building and sustaining communities of practice.
There are always external factors that can impact this decision but currently, the Jive platform is maintaining its lead in the market place in this area. If the innovation in this space by Jive continues, then this number will remain high. Integration with other systems and adaptability to changes in the market or in client needs will also make this decision hard to predict more then 6 months into the future
It was harder to use that expected. The admin needs to be code savvy to truly customize the system. And users need to trained on the system and the setup. Trainings and monitoring need to continue to enforce use.
If you are an experienced online community professional, Verint offers the flexibility you need. You do need to have a lot of expertise if you want to build a solid user experience because there isn't a template out-of-the-box that is just ready to go for various use cases. It will take awhile to fully understand the capabilities of Verint Community.
Uptime was OK. But there was one day that the system crashed for a whole day. Our company was unable to operate. And all the plugins to word/excel froze causing those systems to freeze.
Jive posted a statement to the media saying all customers were up, but we were not.
They did an OK job when I needed them. Except for the one day the system went down. Jive pointed the finger at the hosting company, and the hosting company pointed the finger at Jive. No reliable information came to us.
While the support portal (cases) is helpful, I've been even more impressed by their own support community. I always get quick, thoughtful, and interesting answers to my questions from support personnel, in-house developers, other users, and even the VP/GM himself! They have a really wonderful thing going there.
Jive online training is there. It is OK/average. I feel some other companies are doing better. It is not a piece that is required to have a successfully implementation, but it could be useful to improve it
We had a Google phone number set up before and Jive was a lot better option than that. It is more consistent and can be configured much easier and with more advanced settings. Additionally, based on the pricing as well as working with the rep on our account, it was a perfect option for us
Both Higher Logic and Khoros came in with very few benefits compared to Verint with a much higher price point, and potential for additional expenses. With Verint, we added some initial implementation services but were able to plainly see and understand any future financial impact, whereas other vendors were much more ambiguous about how much we might pay for services we might need in the future. Both other vendors seemed to have plenty of integration options, but very specific ones (e.g. We have a CRM integration... if you use Salesforce. We have an LMS integration... if you use [this vendor]). Knowing that their out-of-the-box integrations were not in our existing tech stack made for a very unclear path forward
reduce amount of files/documents scattered & lost across shared drives
increased discovery, awareness and interaction of historically more separated individuals & team functions across the organisation
from an IT perspective, we've benefited from improved IT operations (e.g. troubleshooting info shared and easily searched/found with all team members - such that even junior team members can solve technical problems outside of business hours, lessening the burden for standby/call-in for more senior team members)
Verint Community has helped to gain more than one lakh users which shows that the platform is extremely stable and engaging. This helped for more brand awareness and e-commerce conversion rates
We have had huge problems with non English countries where this platform's limitations has caused huge number of loss and less user count. Hopefully this is fixed soon.
Our major plan was to expand our segments and verticals such as gaming, education and business which was done very well by using this platform and our team was able to customize it based on our brand's identity. We looking to expand to much more countries and hopefully target all our worldwide businesses.
