I will admit, we started with Pulseway several years ago because we were able to start using it with a free account, which allowed us to install it on some in-house servers and gain experience with it. The other products we looked at all seem to require a considerable …
ConnectWise Control is much easier to use than TeamViewer. It is much easier to set up a "one-off" remote support session and much much much easier to set up a "permanent" remote support connection. ConnectWise also provides a lot more information about the computers …
If you have to manage a large number of computers, especially spread over multiple clients or a large physical area. This is one of the main products that allows us to act as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and actually manage our clients devices and not just react to issues as clients call them in. Clients really love the proactive approach it allows us to take.
The ease of use, especially for users who need support. The Team Viewer Quick Support tool is very useful in this situation. Only the most essential details, such as the ID and password that the Administrator needs in order to choose themselves, are provided here. This software doesn't require installation and can be launched directly by the user. Additionally, it is very nice to have the option to brand the Quick Support Tool.
It monitors computers and notifies us of any issues with any computer.
It allows remote control of computers, such as requesting a computer to reboot itself.
It is very highly configurable to monitor exactly what we need to monitor. For example, on server, we can have it notify us any time the server is shutdown or rebooted. On the other hand, for a desktop computer, we don't have to be bothered with notifications when a user decides to reboot his computer.
Can TeamViewer have an easy access in areas which are challenged on internet. It is not easy to connect when there is unstable connection or slow, thus, causing the delay as well on target work. It pretty much cause some frustration on both parties as we can only wait when connection is at back to re-connect again
The free TeamViewer version has limited access to remotely connect to PC or devices. For faithful users, can TeamViewer increase more time of free remote access before a User subscribes for the paid version.
The chat or call box or option needs some improvement on its interface. However, everything else is OK
TeamViewer is everything we're looking for in a support tool, the cost for the tool is negligible with the value we receive from the tool. TeamViewer has saved us many times and continues to provide functionality and support for our devices like we haven't seen before in other tools. The ability to use TeamViewer quick connect provides efficient and non-technical ways for our non-tech-savvy end-users to get the assistance that they need while IT has the visibility and control over all of its' computer assets.
Pulseway is very user friendly. The system is labeled in terms and grouped together by function so that anyone can understand and locate the functions that they need. We use this system to monitor a file server that we have that can have an unstable power supply. This allows us to easily see that the system is offline and get it back to operational with minimal downtime.
Compared to other products I've used (ConnectWise Control), TeamViewer is harder to set up and get connected. It is especially difficult to set up "permanent" unattended remote access, where you want to be able to connect to and control a remote computer without having to exchange codes and passwords every time you connect.
I haven't really needed much support for Pulseway, so I can't really say a whole lot about their support. Pulseway has been pretty much trouble-free for us. There are regular updates and new features. The updates never seem to break anything or cause problems. It just works.
I was able to talk to sales about our problem (of being charged for an additional year subscription when we had asked to cancel), and Sales and I had a nice conversation. But when I contacted TeamViewer Support by email to request that our subscription be canceled, they very "nicely" told me by email that I should have read the "fine print". And that they can "Automatically Renew" a subscription for a year if they do not receive a cancellation request a month before the expiration of the current subscription. (When I called Support, I was put on hold; and I held, and held, and held, etc.) Admittedly, part of the problem was mine. I sent in my cancellation request after the deadline that TeamViewer outlines in their "fine print". But, I still feel that TeamViewer could have or should have a policy of refunding at least a large percentage of the "Automatic Renewal" charge, especially if the customer is not utilizing the subscription.
I have never used the online training either. I have watched a few informational videos that were helpful when learning how to do a specific procedure within TeamViewer and get the most out of the software by utilizing one of the many features that are available with the software. Again, 5 if for neutral.
Pulseway has the most features, the best looking app with the best design and better usability than any others we evaluated. We liked the uniformity of the app design across all platforms (Windows, Android, Apple) and the notifications displayed on each platform. The price was a major contributor to our selection of Pulseway compared to the competition.
When I tried LogMeIn and VNC, I discovered that TeamViewer was more reliable, quicker to set up, and more consistent in terms of connection stability and reliability. All in all, it is a more cost-effective and efficient solution that can be deployed without the need to open firewall ports and can be installed effortlessly by any end-user.
Problems can be dealt with more rapidly because I have access to systems from anywhere. I don't have to carry a computer with me nor do I have to find a location with potentially non-secure wifi to gain access to my systems.
I can handle 99% of my system admin tasks using Pulseway and never have to touch a system or connect to the console.
Pulseway gives so much control over a system that I don't need to spend extra money on other software to perform management tasks.
Since I started using TeamViewer, the number of times I have to visit clients to update our programs on the PC has been visibly reduced, which is very helpful.
TeamViewer not only improves work efficiency and productivity, but also contributes to work-life balance and, above all, to fast customer service.
It is also recommended for system administrators who cover several offices with a small number.
