We needed to use DocuSign to get documents signed by members of the board and a range of investing partners. I cannot understate how horrible this program is to use. It is honestly a better use of your time to individually print out and courier documents to where they need to go instead of using this garbage.
  • Nice design
  • Horrible account management
  • Upgrading versions is an absolute pain
  • Support is non-existent
  • It's expensive
Suitable if you're a sadomasochist who likes to torture his or herself. Unsuitable for getting documents signed in a fast, efficient and secure manner.

Our company uses DocuSign to quickly execute documents without the need to print the agreement/contract/ etc. out prior to signing. The tools are used by most departments within our organization. That said, it is more commonly used by management and executive staff - most of the workforce does not have a need for DocuSign.
  • DocuSign allows you to execute documents without ever printing the document.
  • DocuSign provides a digital signature which "prooves" that your user visited the document and executed.
  • The DocuSign user interface makes it very easy to create fields for a user to enter information.
  • DocuSign could make it a bit easier to upload a customized signature template
DocuSign is the perfect tool for any company that is sick of printing out documents for signature. The tool is not well suited in scenarios where a "wet" signature is required. Some banks require that a "wet" signature is provided and Docusign does not help in these instances. Moreover, if a notarized signature is required, Docusign will be of little help. However, DocuSign does provide its own form of digital notarization.

Our company recently implemented DocuSign as we often have agreements and licenses to share and cosign with clients and vendors. DocuSign makes it so much easier than printing, signing, scanning and saving in secure locations. It is a time-saver while also making sure that we have legally executed documents on file. Not to mention that it saves lots and lots of paper!
  • Easy to implement
  • No training needed on use!
  • Other clients and vendors use so it's seamless
  • Super easy to add additional users across the company
  • We have not found any ways to improve yet! (Just rolled out in the past 6 months, but so far, so good!)
Easy to get any legal documents shared and signed quickly. No need for paper copies or using a scanner. It's a time and resource saver!

We are using DocuSign to quickly have online documents such as SOWs, PSA and RFAs signed by clients. It makes the background business process much quicker and allows the work to start sooner. Our clients can sign the documents from their mobile device or computer so there are no limitations on getting the document signed.
  • On-the-go use!
  • Quick transitions.
  • User-friendly.
  • Very efficient.
  • Internet is always required, could use some type of offline mode.
  • On the fly editing would be easy for adjusting the document.
  • Ability to sign easier on laptop.
I would definitely recommend DocuSign, as it makes transactions and processes move so much quicker than having them email the document, sign, fax and scan back. The fact that a person can do all of this from their phone is a big plus in a constantly changing world.

We use DocuSign across the organization to manage documentation as we hire individuals and contract others to work on projects. It helps us quickly get specific SOWs and agreements out quickly to people around the world and get signatures back ASAP. It's also useful for helping managing those documents for future reference in the cloud.
  • Easy-to-use templates.
  • Quick to send and get signatures back.
  • Easy to manage and refer to for the future.
  • Complicated Salesforce integration- You should be able to autofill information for SOWs from fields in SFDC, but it is hard to make it work.
  • I had some problems with sign in when I had to change my email address after being hired.
  • There is not an easy way to alter or amend docs, usually, they have to void the whole thing.
Anytime you are working with a large and international pool of individuals, and/or have a uniform document that your workforce will be using when signing people, Docusign is great. It also is great for managing these documents without the worry of tracking down hard copies. It is just convenient in a nutshell.

When we send out contracts to prospects we send through DocuSign. Actually, we first set up the quote in Salesforce and then when it's ready we use our Salesforce-DocuSign integration and send it out. The software is very easy to use. If you need to make changes or use templates you can do that with just a few clicks.
  • Easy to look through other documents in the library.
  • Easy to add or remove signers or people that need to get a copy of the contract.
  • Easy to add specific fields and who and what they need to sign.
  • Don't see any cons. I've used probably half a dozen other signing software and DocuSign is by far the easiest to navigate.
I think in any situation that you need to send over a document and have it signed by someone, DocuSign is your best bet. Whether it be a contract or other documents that you need to add signing fields it really is the easiest software. As for less appropriate, I don't know any situation in sales where it wouldn't be useful.

We utilize DocuSign for e-signature capabilities for our clients and/or vendor paperwork.
  • Easy to Use
  • Allows clients and vendors to sign our agreements and terms easily
  • Stores history of documents that have been signed
  • Reporting functionality isn't currently there for personal accounts - i.e. # of contracts, amounts, etc.
DocuSign has been used by us, our clients and our vendors for a number of years. It is much easier than printing paperwork and signing it, scanning and emailing which is what we used to do. This is a much easier and safer method to keep track of our contracts and projects.

We utilize DocuSign for signature of professional documents such as long form subcontracts, short form subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, etc. The software is used across our entire organization and eliminates the need to sign a physical paper and either scan or mail the document. Instead, users can instantly sign and send!
  • Contract Execution
  • Distribution of Professional Documents
  • Security and Dependability
  • If a document has been signed by one individual but needs a revision, then it needs to be voided, corrected and reissued.
  • More uses.
  • Auto reminders of pending documents.
DocuSign is well suited to sign and transmit professional documents between parties. Users can upload any PDF file and assign the signers specific instructions on how to proceed. The program is less appropriate if all signers are present and can easily access the document for signature without sending it electronically.

My company uses DocuSign primarily for expedient new hire paperwork filing. We hire a lot of new employees for various events that we run, and Docusign allows us to be able to send paperwork to a new employee's email for them to fill out quickly and easily. It also allows us to do away with scanning and printing physical paper, which also saves us a lot of time (and money on ink!). Most of our employees do not come into our office to fill out paperwork, so DocuSign lets us send it to those remote workers without ever interacting physically. Our department is responsible for all employee hiring, but other departments use Docusign for contracts and other waivers needing to be signed. We have also used Docusign to get our employees to sign agreements or other documents that we have created internally. It's great to have all our paperwork in one place and to see the status of paperwork that has or has not been signed, so we are able to follow up with people who are still needing complete paperwork.
  • It allows us to send and receive paperwork quickly and easily.
  • The system detects fields in various forms of paperwork so that you do not have to create an entirely new sheet for an employee to fill out.
  • You are able to keep track of employee documents in a safe and secure location.
  • You can create your own documents and customize them for signatures quickly and easily.
  • You can keep templates of documents ready to go to send to employees whenever needed.
  • Sometimes the system glitches in terms of the corrections we make on our end and what the employee sees on their end.
  • A customer service online chat assistance option would be nice.
  • It would be nice if DocuSign provided the basic forms -- W4s, I9s, etc. that were made available and updated whenever needed.
  • I really wish that there was an option to send documents to a number of employees in bulk. Maybe there is a way to do this, but I haven't found it yet.
DocuSign is best suited for situations where an employer needs to have a number of remote employees fill out paperwork without meeting in person or mailing/faxing paperwork. It's also helpful when you have a lot of people who need to fill out paperwork quickly, because the employee can fill out their documents on their phone, laptop, or tablet and send it back in minutes without any hassle. Even non-tech-savvy employees have had no issues filling out these documents, and it makes it easy on our end -- especially when we have a lot of employees to get paperwork from -- to keep track of who all has or hasn't filled out their paperwork. It's a very efficient system!

We use DocuSign to collect W9s from our temporary staff. We also use it to sign yearly contracts and per event booking agreements with temp staff, as well as contracts with our clients. Without it, we would have to wait for people to print out the contracts and send them back -- while that might be okay with clients, who are businesses, our temp staff are young and likely lack easy access to printers.
  • Allows you to save templates
  • Stores all the documents for you
  • Easy to resend/remind the other party to sign
  • Allows you to see if the contracts have been viewed.
  • Layout can be super wonky, especially on forms like the W9
  • They have been using the same email layout since I started using them five or six years ago
  • The app isn't great
If you are dealing with other businesses and not with laypeople, it might be easier to save the money and just print, though that also requires a place to store your paperwork. I have some concerns about how secure it is, but I have not looked into it beyond a passing concern.

It is currently used by recruiting to streamline and digitize offer letters.
  • Eliminates paper to save cost and decrease loss of information
  • Decreases time to complete tasks as documents can be signed anywhere
  • Makes it quick and convenient to share docs
  • Better integration with different systems to further streamline
  • Ability to search all user folders that you have access to at once instead of going into individual folders
  • Better functioning of required fields so they cannot be edited to be not required
Great for getting paperwork signed quickly. Doesn't work in situations where wet signature needed.

DocuSign is being used by the employees to send applications to clients to sign electronically. It is also being used internally for employees to complete documents needed by the company. It makes completing documents easier and more secure.
  • Allows users to apply their signature securely
  • Allows users to complete applications without having to sign multiple places
  • Makes it quicker to open accounts
  • Sometimes it is difficult to click on the boxes when completing an application
  • Sometimes the signature/date are too big for the space that they are going to be placed
  • Would like it to recognize when a category shows up twice so that it will auto-fill in that space
It is great for sending applications to clients because they do not have to sign multiple documents and can just apply their signature once. It is also great because it allows you to send and have clients complete secure documents easily.

It is less appropriate if a client has to fill in some information, as sometimes it can be hard to use for those who are unfamiliar with the product.

Docusign is leveraged across the sales department for any major contracts with our clients, to extend new compensation agreements to reps, and to engage with new clients via NDA. It is also leveraged within our recruiting team to offer candidates a role at the org and describe their terms of employment.
  • Enables you to see who has viewed the document
  • Keeps a good paper trail for all persons involved
  • Easy to use interface
  • Sometimes can feel a bit antiquated
  • Could be more versatile
  • Would like more integrations with softwares I'm currently using
DocuSign is well suited for most organizations that offer salaried positions with benefits. Having an easy to create contracting systems really speeds up operations within recruiting. It also dramatically speeds up the effectiveness of sales teams to get contracts executed and new customers brought on board. If you have a large sales team, Docusign is a great consideration.

We use DocuSign to negotiate, track changes and to get our Master Agreements and Contracts fully executed and distributed.
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to see where you're at in the process
  • Easy to distribute once signed
  • The flags make it almost foolproof. You know where you're expected to initial or sign
  • All encrypted. Completely safe and secure
  • If a flag or date is missed in the tagging process, it can be a drawback
DocuSign is amazing and I highly recommend for all contract admins or anyone that has to track progress as such. It's integration with Procore makes this a win-win for all construction professionals.

There are so many things that you can do with the software, like create templates once you've negotiated your contracts, set parameters for other users, and create & attend training. Overall, it's an awesome product that is constantly evolving and makes my life ten times easier & efficient. Say goodbye to manual tracking!

Docusign is being used across the sales and finance department for all legal documents that require a signature. As a sales rep, it is mostly being used to sign on new contracts with our prospects in lew of requiring handwritten signatures. It mainly helps speed up the buying process and helps us secure new customers faster without any friction.
  • Extremely simple for someone who has never signed a document on Docusign before. It's just click and sign.
  • The ability for the sender to keep track of when people are opening and looking at the document.
  • Allowing the signer to change the signer and forward it to someone else who may need a signature.
  • Nothing bad to say about the contract. I will say we came from another competitor and Docusign was more expensive than what we were using but well worth the extra cost.
Great in sales to quickly get signatures without having to delay the sales cycle.

DocuSign is being used as a sales org, new hires, NDA documents and basically everything you can think of when it comes to signing digitally. It solved the whole "put it in google drive" issue by allows us to keep everything in its intended form. No more need to find the most updated document to send over, no more need to screw something up. It's really helped us keep everything in tact and in one place that we don't have to search for.
  • Easy to use.
  • Digital signing is seamless.
  • App friendly.
  • Cost - I feel DocuSign can be cost-prohibitive to some companies while there are other solutions out there.
  • No longer the thought leader, the likes of Adobe are catching up or have passed.
  • Easier to use admin functionality.
DocuSign is well suited in areas of companies that are ready to scale to more business. It handles things well but does require an amount of admin work to get everything implemented. For instance, in our company, we were using just a PDF version of our agreement to send over to customers which posed quite a problem from a legal standpoint. When we implemented DocuSign, it sped up our closing process and helped our predictability even more when we could see opens and answer questions quickly instead of sending off an agreement into the Ether. Some CRM's are inhibitive to integration which makes it a challenge as well. So if you have a smaller team, some other products might make more sense.

We use DocuSign to complete new hire paperwork, contracts, employment offers, etc. We use this across all the organization through many verticals such as HR, accounting, events, reservations. The software addresses the issue of getting paperwork back quickly and securely. It is also in multiple languages which is amazing and cuts through a lot of red tape.
  • Clear and easy to use interface - Easy to navigate as a user on both the sending and receiving sides.
  • Multiple language options.
  • Building templates and uploading is so easy - The drag and drop and color coding make it impossible to make an error!
  • Login is a breeze.
  • It could synch to other software or websites to avoid having to download and then upload.
  • The storage of documents has a quick expiration so if you forget to download something you may lose it.
We are a restaurant group and primarily use this for new hire paperwork, contracts, events management, etc. The software overall is great and secure. It is an awesome price point and we can leverage it in any way making it even more of a value. It is also lovely to use less paper with e-sign which is great for the environment, leaves more of a record trail, and helps with organization/security.

We use docusign to get e-signatures from prospects, as well as signatures from individuals within the organization (ex. NDAs).
  • Easy to send and receive documents for signatures
  • The read receipts when someone views a document is great
  • Environmentally friendly
  • It can be difficult to walk through the first few times, the views are not particularly intuitive.
  • Some older prospects have a hard time using it.

We used DocuSign for all sales teams when creating, sending, and signing contracts. We were using the old fashioned pencil and paper singing which took extra time and delayed the closing of each deal. The problem that DocuSign helped us solve was to speed up the process, holding the signer (customers) accountable and having proof of signing for internal process purposes.
  • Easy to use. Very clearly states where and what to sign for.
  • It time stamps everything which is good for legal purposes.
  • Sometimes it crashes before the document is generated, so I’ll have to redo the whole thing again.
The best thing about DocuSign is the ease of use. There are multiple options when it comes to what is needed from the signer and you can free form the fields so it’s very easily customizable. It is particularly convenient for the transportation industry where there are certain things that need to be listed in the document for review that is different from most other companies.

We use DocuSign occasionally in our sales department. There are times when we are collecting credit card information along with our service agreements, so when this is the case we use DocuSign to keep it secure. This gives our clients piece of mind when giving out their information.
  • DocuSign has proved to be safe and secure as we have never had an issue with a client's information being hacked or taken. When we send out our service agreements we need it to be safe so that our client can provide us with payment information and not worry about it.
  • I really like that it is in real-time, you can literally get a contract sent and returned within minutes. And you can send it to multiple people and can get multiple signatures all within minutes.
  • I also used it when I purchased my home. In fact, it was when my folks and I purchased a home together. The realtor and lender used it to email all of our contracts and we were each able to sign them and submit them. We did not have to try and find a time for all of us to be able to meet, it was all done in email.
  • I really don't have any cons for this product, it has done everything I have needed it to so far.
  • Really the only thing I can think of is that you cannot edit a document, you have to start over and resubmit if you make an error.
I feel DocuSign is a great product for anyone needing an easy solution to being able to send confidential documents requiring signatures securely. Very easy to use and pretty much guides you thru what you need to do.

DocuSign is only used by the commercial department. We use it only for agreement signing. We use it for non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, and many other legal documents. It is very helpful when you needed to get a signature in a document. But we never felt it was enough. We ended up using a solution that we could use for things beyond agreement signatures.
  • Possible integrations with CRM like Salesforce.
  • Mobile apps are very good.
  • Very easy to use.

  • DocuSign is thorough - Copies are sent to everyone involved in the document so no one is left in the dark.
  • DocuSign is customizable - You can drag and drop signatures wherever you need them.
  • None!
DocuSign is well suited for when you cannot meet in-person to sign documents, or when you need something signed and returned quickly. It also reduces the need for paper since it is fully digital. It has an app so you can still get work done when you are away from the office.

DocuSign has been an effective tool for our team. Our associates travel on a regular basis and that can pose a problem when we are closing on a deal. With DocuSign, we can send out important documents that require immediate signature without delay. Travelers don't have to be close to a printer or scanner to sign documents and processes are not delayed. Regardless of where an associate is, they can submit signed documents in a timely manner.
  • The application is intuitive and easy to use.
  • Documents can be accessed and signed remotely.
  • You can trust that DocuSign will properly handle sensitive documents.
  • Honestly, I haven't run into any issues with DocuSign.
There are some situations that require a signed hard copy, like certain financial documents and closing documents. However, a majority of the documents that require signatures, can be processed for signature through DocuSign. This allows multiple travelers to sign documents regardless of where they are. This has been a great tool for time-sensitive documents.

DocuSign is being used by our entire organization. It is used to allow us to electronically sign forms within the organization.
  • Sign forms without having to print, manually fill out, scan and email forms back to an individual.
  • Keeps it neat and it's easy to read since there is no game of having to guess at what someone's handwriting says.
  • Easy to use/save to computer/share docs.
  • Since I am a user, I have not found any features that I've found difficult to use or missing.
DocuSign is well suited for requiring the signature of legal forms. For example, within our organization use it to have students electronically sign their admit packets. It confirms that we receive all the documents back and that all required fields are signed since they cannot "file" or complete the form without signing all required fields. Prior to DocuSign, we were often going back and forth asking people to resign fields they missed during the manual signature process. It also helps people remain engaged if they sign things correctly on the first try as there is less room for frustration.
