Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Good but not great
We use Igloo as our company's intranet. It's useful but complex. We have an FTE dedicated to managing Igloo b/c of how heavily we use the system. The system lacks some of the features that you'd expect from an intranet such as an instant messaging feature.
- Cloud based
- Centralized resources
- Version history
- Instant messaging
- Complicated notification settings
- Redundant sections

Amazing intranet solution for your company!
Igloo was mainly used to improve communication between team members, to share files and to schedule meetings across the IT Department. We try to centralize all communications in one robust and reliable platform so productivity can be significantly increased. For employees that work outside the office, Igloo software is very useful, too.
- Very easy to use - initial configuration and daily use are very smooth.
- Theme customization by changing CSS code, logo, colors, header, footer, etc.
- Free version for product evaluations and pilot projects up to 10 users.
- Clean interface - Good UI and UX.
- File sharing, meetings schedulement, forums and tasks control for teams
- Pricing can lead to high costs.
- Users without CSS knowledge may have a hard time to customize themes. Maybe more graphical options to change layouts would be nice.
- NO SSO and LDAP authentication methods available in the basic version.
- Languages support in the basic version.

Igloo - Way better than not having an intranet
My whole company uses Igloo and it serves many purposes.
Each department has their own page or hub where they store useful templates and links for their own use. They also post updates and metrics that the rest of the company can use to see how that department is performing and what is new with them. The department pages are also used to share documents with the rest of the company like PPT templates or records of completed projects.
We also use Igloo as a social media platform. We post updates about new employees, upcoming events, and good news in people's personal lives as well as their work. In addition, we use Igloo for archiving of important records. We can have multiple people and departments contribute and we can access the documents remotely if needed.

- Notifications: Igloo can push email updates to users.
- Organization: Igloo allows for you to create pages, sub pages, and many layer deep sections. You can also organize the layout of your pages.
- Versioning: it's super easy to reserve and edit documents for offline use. And you can see who last edited a document and when.
- Offline access: there's a desktop version you can use very easily. It's really good for dropping a bunch of files at once.
- Search: It's like the early days of the internet with there search. Once I was told there was a form to use our gym somewhere on Igloo. I searched each key word I could think of and each time needed to wait several seconds for results to load. Large number of results would come up and none were relevant. It was a mess.
- Upload: Something very funny happens every time I try to add documents using the desktop version. About half of the time instead of copying what I want it to, it copies a document I haven't opened in about a year. It's really an impressive and confusing bug.
- Logging in: I need to login to the desktop version every time I want to access anything (web version doesn't have this issue).

Easy to use intranet service
We've only just started using Igloo as a portal to support our international partners. We are located in New Zealand and our partners are located in the USA. Igloo provides a platform for us to share files and production notes so that our partners can see how our products should be assembled. We use the blogging function mostly.
- Creating a knowledge base of information to share with others
- Linking files to blog/information pages
- File version control
- User Interface
- Task management

Great Intuitive Intranet tool!
Igloo is used across the whole company as our Intranet. It helps us organize key information we want everyone to be able to access, and helps our virtual organization stay connected.
- Easy to set-up
- Easy to navigate
- Strong customer support
- Highly customizable
- I'd like more page layout options (not just the 3 columns).

Igloo is Unremarkable for Professional Use
Igloo was being utilized across our organization by executives, corporate leadership, and property-level managers.
- Igloo gives you great customization abilities and really fits the need for small communication bursts to important company-wide announcements — when their UI was not getting in the way.
- Igloo offers a lot of "bells and whistles" if you need them. But it was hard for these small, nonessential elements to not get in the way of the overall purpose of its use.
- Their sales team was spectacular. But their implementation team was hit or miss. Only one or two people I was able to connect with were both knowledgeable and quickly responsive.
- Their UI is not used-friendly. Their use of Igloo-specific terminology made it difficult to understand how each function of the site worked. They would repeatedly say, for example, "a ___ is really a ___" vs. just calling it what the function actually is.
- Implementation was a far cry from their sales support. After basically nickel-and-diming you for everything, they - very poorly - cap your use of their implementation support team.
- Overall, Igloo didn't work for our organization because they do multiple things decently vs a few things excellently. The experience with Igloo was unremarkable.
