We had disparate solutions that were not integrated. By using the ERP solution Oracle offers, we consolidated, making information extraction possible. We also enjoy the security and dependability Oracle offers. We plan to do more as we integrate other legacy solutions in the near future and look forward to further help with Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Structured Data.
  • Search capabilities.
  • Reliable data extraction.
  • Security and prevention of fraud.
  • User interface - Prefilling of forms for redundant data entry.
Oracle ERP Cloud is well suited for cloud security and reliability. We also really appreciate the strong reputation and services support offered by Oracle. Lastly, we look forward to furthering innovation and security adjustments, as well as the prevention of data attacks.

Oracle ERP and HCM are used by all departments across the enterprise. It takes care of all our financial and accounting needs, including revenue processing, AP, procurement, payroll and budget, and planning.
  • Invoice entry automation and process approvals have greatly increased our efficiencies and enable us to pay an AP invoice within ten days of the invoice date.
  • E-sourcing has expedited the RFP procurement processes and helped us go paperless in that very intensive paper-based process. We now only accept electronic proposals and no longer have the need to store a large amount of paper.
  • We have been able to reduce the amount of time it takes to close month-end by 50%.
  • We have been able to reduce the payroll process time by 25% and make it more accurate and thus reducing the number of off-cycle checks.
  • The journal entry process could be enhanced by adding workflow capabilities and approvals to the worksheet load.
  • Easier role configuration and data and report access to the roles.
I think Oracle ERP is well suited for a public sector organization as soon as the organization makes the decision not to use customizations and be willing to use standard and best practices out of the box. For companies or industries where processes are complex or they just don't want to standardize, ERP Cloud might not be the answer. Also, organizations need to become agile and embrace the quarterly upgrade model that is the new normal in Oracle ERP Cloud.

We are using [Oracle Financials] to be more user friendly and people friendly. As a consultant, we help other people start up with Oracle Financials. We work with all different industries, anything to do with the financial world. Recently, we've worked with clients in the Health and AI industries get started with Financials.
  • It gives me the results that I want, meeting the needs of the people I work with, finding a solution that is right for their industry.
  • It's easy to show how this works to clients, and display how the investments and returns match up.
  • I find that it meets their needs, Oracle Financials has a repeat clientele as a sign of success.
  • We always look for new avenues to improve and add new technology to enhance the operations and success.
  • There is room for improvement when it comes to the latest technology - I want Oracle to stay on top of incorporating AI.
  • I wish Oracle would work with colleges and universities to train people on this type of software.
I think Oracle Financials can be used by anyone and everyone.

We use the Oracle Financials across the entire organization spread out in 26 countries with 70+ Legal entities. It helps in standardizing our accounting policies and processes. It also helps in consolidating the financials for the company and ease-of-use at the month end and year end processing. Oracle Financials helps us with getting transactions recorded seamlessly with tight integration.
  • Seamless Integration
  • Cover End-to-End Business Process
  • Ease-of-use
  • Improve user experience by removing ugly looking java forms
  • Improve ease of period close process
  • Improve interface and integration issues
Oracle Financials is suitable in cases where:
1) Integrations are not required
2) End-to-end process are carried out through Oracle Financials
3) Cases where the users work from desktop or laptop but available through iPad or other handheld devices
4) It takes a lot of time to capture the data and there's a need to depend on external data entry systems like RPA etc.

It's used for our full financial process - AR, AP, GL ,FA and Cash Management. [Oracle Financials] is very useful as it has automated all financial processes and led to manpower reduction and fast process streamlining. Due to this we are able to close the GL every month by the 6th. Previously this was not possible. Complete PROCURE to PAY Process is now automated due to this Implementation.
  • Three-way matching for Approvals of Supplier Payments
  • Auto Bank Reconciliation
  • Data Integrity and Security
  • Oracle Assets module control on Assets Retiring and Residual value
  • Oracle Property Manager
  • Oracle Cash Management
  • Issues resolution during Posting from AR or AP to GL
It's less appropriate for companies which have less than 10 employees, as it's an overhead and ROI is not realized. Is it the best for medium and large corporations.

Well suited for a company with a server-less strategy. Not well suited for a company that requires a high level of customization.

Across the organization and multiple BUs
  • Integrated workflows within the system - allow seamless flow of information
  • Based on industry best practices - allows clients to minimize customizations
  • Reporting
  • Mobile interfaces and approvals
  • Intuitive and well designed UI for end-users
  • Industry specific solutions (ex. Media, Financials Services) can be improved and integrated
  • Oracle Payroll (global)
  • Hyperion users should get a easier path to move to cloud
Inventory and warehouse management for manufacturing industries - oracle SCM is well suited for these.
Financials and Order management function is also well integrated. HCM stack (across core HR, talent, benefits) and CX stack - needs due diligence for fitment since this is comprised of multiple modules/products within the oracle stack. Similarly the industry solutions require parallel assessment

Oracle helps us to provide integration supply chain manufacturing products and linked them with planning and quotes for customers and vendors, communicating better with internal and externals customers. Planning and Manufacturing runs on the same channel according with sales estimations and reducing inventory cost, this improves our raw materials purchases and reduces cost without impacting quality for our clients
  • Integration with raw materials purchases
  • Planning according to Sales
  • Providing visibility to productions calendars
  • Cost estimations and inventory accuracy
  • Graphics helps on line for end users, learning curve for new employees or end users means money.
  • Solution could help to minimize timing invested on training to any employees on any area
  • Reports, even when the solutions have an excellent structure, it could be good to create independence to end users to create their own end users
  • Emerging view panel to know how the documents are being creating according to the info is captured
You can start any business without a full engineers (IT) team, even though you will get your business running with a whole IT support team and provide or focus on what strategy or new solutions are required with the team that you can hire internally.

For any implementations you need to invest in timing, for your support areas or key users and business, so, nothing comes alone.

We have currently implemented [Oracle ERP Cloud] at 1 of our North American manufacturing plants as well as our corporate finance and accounting with plans to implement across all North American facilities in the next year and internationally after that. We are using a variety of Oracle products including ERP, SCM and most recently Iot Production monitoring.
  • Integrates with other Oracle modules
  • All basic business functions including purchasing, manufacturing, shipping and financials
  • Continuous innovation and upgrading - this can be a pain point but in the end we are able to continually improve our process and grow.
  • Quality - more features needed.
  • Asset monitoring - still in its infanty but growing. So far we have not been able to replace all of our maintenance-related functions with this product.
Purchasing, planning and manufacturing execution are all strengths. As previously stated, Quality and Asset management could use improvements. Financials seem to be more advanced as well. This product also seems well suited for growth and changed for any organization wishing to continually improve with additional cloud based functionalities.

We are using the full ERP and SCM modules across three procurement business units. We plan to roll it out in North American and then globally. It addresses the problems of financial roll up, data access and real time KPI management. In our previous system, we did not have ready access to this and we had to talk to I.T. about getting data and then it also took massive excel work to get the data to tell a story.
  • Supply Planning and MRP: Its very easy for the users to use supply planning to procure material in the right quantities and in the correct time without spending a lot of time reviewing data to make decisions.
  • The supplier collaboration is very good. Using the suppliers to act as an additional planning review step allows us to manage the overages and under ordering of material based on forecasts that our planners may miss.
  • The requisition approval flow is very good after it is setup. This gives me the financial accumen to make decisions on spend and to also be able to review the spend in the OTBI to balance my budgets.
  • The Oracle mobile procurement app is pretty poor. Its very slow, and instead of the punchout catalogs accessing the suppliers mobile page, it uses their full page and on mobile devices, makes it very hard to use.
  • Demand planning connection to EDI data just became available in 19B and so we are dealing with un-scrubbed forecasts in our supply plan which is causing inventory issues. This should have been done earlier in the development process.
  • The infolets are not really configurable and to gather KPIs through OTBI is very difficult, espically those that are cross functional in nature. Meaning, manage KPIs on invoices and POs, since they are in two different subject areas, we have to rely on outside assistance to build these reports. Surely there is a better way.
Oracle ERP Cloud is very good for planning and procurement. The ability to train people quickly and have them able to configure the screens for their preference and make them feel valued is huge. Its not just a screen where they have to deal with it. Cycle counting, receiving and inventory management are very clear and without much confusion.

Oracle ERP Cloud is latest and greatest offering by Oracle, I can tell Oracle is trying to incorporate the latest features, technology & thinking of process efficiencies and going in the right direction to deliver a best in class Cloud ERP solution. Like previous ERP products, they do have growing and adoptions pains, however, Oracle is trying hard, and listening to customers to make it a more matured product.
  • Incorporate and combine best in class products, ex: OTBI reporting, Smartview, Spreadsheet friendly, social networking, etc
  • Improve security model, invest in self-service requests
  • Improve ESS screens
  • Improve the UI and make it user friendly and light weight
Ideal for small and midsize companies, but it needs to have more flexibility for Developers to customize and build automations like Salesforce. Large organizations will have challenges as its not possible to implement the ERP cloud as it is, this should provide some flexibility for developers to build customizations, create custom objects, etc, inbuilt integrations capabilities.

It was used by most of the departments and driven by IT & Accounts team
  • Seamless integration across multiple department
  • Integrated well with the vendors
  • Pulled in our legacy information well
  • It was a bit of a technical challenge to get it up and running. Coordinating an external vendor and the accounts department to get the specs right was a bit of a challenge.
Integration between Finance, Operations and Marketing was very good.

We are a consulting company and we implement ERP Cloud for others. Solves back-end processes by streamlining actions.
  • Easier setup
  • Consolidated views when it comes to UI
  • Analytic report writing
  • Some key functions removed from EBS Suite and are needed back in Cloud.
  • Fewer days to test between patching in TEST and PROD pods.
  • Some customization should be allowed.
Small companies with fewer processes are ideal candidates for Cloud. This product is not yet suitable for big companies that have more robust processes.

We are currently using Oracle ERP cloud for accounting, general ledger and reporting. The biggest problem that we currently have is Oracle Fusion does not support the expense allocation rules in our organization. We are currently still using our Essbase On-prem specifically for allocation purpose. Another problem that is not too crucial is the fact that Oracle Fusion does not have the same recurring journal entry set up functionality as the Oracle on-prem where you have the ability to create a batch of recurring entry, use different rules, and post the recurring entries every month as one batch.
  • Stability
  • Approval process
  • Chart of account management
  • Allocation rules
  • Primary to secondary ledger journal entry flow
  • Recurring journal entry batch, and flexibility
I wish Oracle Cloud would have more flexibility for users to create allocation rules by cost centers, by line of business, by number of customers, number of calls, etc.

Currently we are in what we call phase 2 of Oracle implementation. Phase implementation started in Nov of 2015 and accounting was the first department on boarded. Currently that is the only department using Oracle ERP. I believe our HR department will be in the phase 2.
  • Off the top of my head, one of the nice things I appreciate - is being able to have multiple tabs opened at the same time. It's nice to be able to move from screen to screen without having to close out and reopen. Our previous system was that way and it was a nightmare!
  • I do not deal with a lot of the Oracle setups, but from the limited amount of knowledge that I do have, Oracle has a good setup.
  • One of the best things is Oracle is on the cloud.
  • The OCR has a tremendous amount of room for improvement. We currently experience a cumbersome amount of issues due to not having visibility in what makes to Oracle and what doesn't.
  • It seems we have issues with our A\P process. Being able to research issues takes quite a bit of time because you have to go into quite a few different areas to get all the information you need to fix the issue. A one-stop shop would be nice when trying to resolve problems.
  • Oracle is massive and when trying to set up rules or use workflow approvals there are so many different boxes to check. When reaching out to Oracle the documentation given to us does not always reflect all the information we need.
Oracle is well suited for a large company, but our company is in kind of a middle level, so we have issues that are constantly arising. Although a lot of the issues are probably not Oracle, but more like maybe we didn't have proper training in the beginning.

We are currently replacing all of our financial systems with Oracle, part of that will cause us to shift from the Clarity PPM tool to Oracle. There are 11 total entities that will migrate onto this new platform over the next several years we are leading the charge on the first company going live on this platform in early 2020.
  • Financial management will be significantly enhanced, today we are using multiple systems, reports, manually created Excel spreadsheets to track project financials, create invoices, etc. Moving to the Cloud is going to greatly enhance our analytics and reduce or eliminate manual redundancies
  • Leveraging work flow capacity for resource requests will also save us a lot of time and energy in trying to help the project managers find the correct resources managers and helping resource managers understand what their employee's capacity and skills are for the type of work.
  • Being able to assign resources to detailed tasks in the work plan but only have to submit time to a higher level parent task may not sound like a big deal but it's a game changer for us. this eliminates the need for us to track a more detailed plan outside of the tool, this will help project managers plan better and have more control over hours spent on certain tasks.
  • Change Orders, very hard to customize the field setting at all to help us capture data that is important to us, it will also be nice if it was integrated with the budget so it would be automatically updated.
  • Would be helpful if there was a feature that will allow us to send and track sign off requests for external clients through the tool, this is still something we need to do outside of the tool.
  • Ability to download into Microsoft Project and make your changes to your plan and then upload into Oracle.
  • Well suited for managing project financials and integrating other expenses such as hardware/software
  • Great tool for managing resources requests and assigning users to projects
  • Not currently as well suited for using to track and process change controls

We are using it for managing editorial input functions. Also publication releases and invoicing. Takes away the manual labor side. Moreover, it is functional in the manner by which is keeps employees managed and tabbed properly. Oracle ERP is a powerful tool that has helped our small organization become better at what we are doing which is publishing.
  • Invoicing.
  • Attendance Management, especially for reporters who are out on the field.
  • Payroll procurement.
  • Travel/accommodation incidentals expense management.
  • Cost.
  • Length/tenure.
  • Mobile.
Oracle Cloud ERP has helped solve small problems and avoid big ones on the fly so it is good that there is the existence of such a SaaS. In particular, the cloud product is also easier to use and accessible from anywhere in the world and it is suited for any work or editorial scenario.

Oracle ERP is an organization wide initiative that will touch multiple entities across many business lines including our; Information Technology, Insurance lines, finance, hospitals and diversified business lines. We are implementing ERP, Supply Chain as well as Financial Modules. We currently have multiple processes leveraging multiple tools that are not all easily integrated, our goal is to streamline and simplify by leveraging Oracle software suites.
  • Easily configurable -Ccloud functionality today allow anyone with any level of experience the ability to quickly and easily configure the tool for their needs
  • Personalize - Oracle Cloud takes away the "customization" concept and allows you to personalize the look and feel of the tool
  • Support is in the Cloud - you no longer need a dedicated team to stay on top of patches, bundles and fixes that need to be applied and maintained, it is all now done in the cloud
  • Step by Step implementation approach - during our implementation there are a lot of features and functionality where decisions need to be made. Having something that walks the user through the process through steps would allow it to be a little less overwhelming
  • Recommendation on what is needed from resources to support the implementation and on-going support based on size of implementation. We currently are realizing that we need more individuals with specific skills that we not originally accounted for at the start of the project.
  • Change Control functionality - specifically RCA Root Cause Analysis. We capture changes on projects for project history to then understand how we need to improve or manage projects differently and better....
Oracle ERP is well suited to allow the flexibility and ability to personalize to meet the needs of any user and any organization. You could be a new implementation or come from a very heavily customized system and the Oracle ERP Cloud allows you to configure at any level to meet your business and organizational needs. Additionally the system is so simple it can change as your organization grows.

My company is an implementer of Oracle ERP Cloud. We help clients move from EBS or help them fast track to the Oracle Cloud. I work in SCM and Procurement specifically. It provides an integrated procurement solution and also a self-service requisitioning solution for organizations.
  • Is quick to configure, to get an organization wide purchase req system.
  • Excellent flexibility for setting up approval workflows and rules.
  • Provides punchout capability to connect to supplier ordering sites.
  • Configuration is sometimes not intuitive, e.g. flexfield configuration.
  • Catalogs are difficult to set up and not intuitive. Seems like scrapping the old foundation and starting over might make sense.
  • Larger companies on a track for growth are good candidates. I've worked with startup companies over the past few years and they are not good candidates.
  • I think that manufacturing companies or those who manage inventory are great candidates where they will realize a lot of value. Those with just financials requirements are not as good.

  • We have purchased a few products that did not work as advertised.
  • It is hard to find a hardcopy book to help learn the system.
Oracle ERP Cloud is well suited for a large complex business looking to standardize and move off a legacy system. It will transform your business. If you are going to buy the suite of products then don't try to interface will other products if Oracle offers an equivalent.

Oracle Financials (AP,AR,GL) modules are being used by finance accounting and the fraud and forecasting team in my organization. They use it for transaction details and financial reporting purposes. Our leadership team uses it for daily status and transaction reporting.
  • Oracle Financials is a well-made application but with other new software applications on the market, it seems to be a very heavy application.
  • It needs more resources.
  • Installation and upkeep is very time-consuming.
  • Oracle needs to add more features and make the application user-friendly.
  • Old forms should go away and web-based front end should be available across the application.
It is well suited for financial accounting but needs a better interface.

Our organization is replacing the Oracle EBS on-prem with ERP Cloud. ERP cloud will be used as the platform for all financial operations of the company once it is implemented.
  • The established user base for EBS and established market.
  • The search functionality needs a lot of improvement. On many lists of values, the user needs to know the starting alphabets of the search strings to conduct a search. Open-ended searches are not possible. This is where many products score against ERP Cloud. This is one feature I am very unhappy about in ERP cloud.
  • The forms look very cluttered. The icons for navigation works very differently between screens. This impacts the user experience. The screens do not look organized and tested from an end-user experience point of view. Oracle needs to test the front end screens with a focus group before moving this to production.
  • Usually, organizations end up subscribing to many products on Oracle cloud, like ARCS, FACS, and Financials. These sit in different databases with established patch application schedules. These are on different schedules. This puts a lot of pressure on users as they have to go through end-to-end regressions tests for each database when a patch comes in. Users need to be given more freedom with respect to the patching schedules.
  • Users can no longer run SQLs against the Cloud database and though this could be managed, this limitation has taken away many flexibilities the user had within the database. Unavailability of extensions, auto accounting rules and sub-ledger accounting methods using SQL is forcing users to implement costly solutions. This is one of the biggest pain points for big companies like us.
Perhaps ERP Cloud (in its current version) is suitable for small companies that are on platforms like simple Quickbooks or Excel-based operations, or for companies who are just looking to have their basic financials on an isolated platform. It may not be suitable for big companies who may be impacted if their entire eco-system will be impacted by this move. This is a huge investment and not likely to bear dividends that make it worth the effort.

We use it for GL, AP, FA and all apps for financial reporting.
  • Always up and running.
  • Scalable.
  • Good basic functions.
  • Reporting.
  • On-demand support.
Oracle Financials is a good product, but may not be well-suited for smaller companies as it is very expensive.
