Veeam Backup for Azure

There was very little documentation that I needed to read in order to set this solution up. I had the solution rolled our and backing up our workloads in half a day. I would say the usability is easy and suited even for people that don't have a lot of experience with these types of products.

We have never had an issue with Veeam Backup for Azure

Because it is felixibile, easy to operate, reliable and perfect customer support.

The ease of use and deployment is easily one of my favorite features of Veeam Backup for Azure. I was able to get the system up and running in about an hour. Policies configuration is easy to understand as well, so targeting specific systems, resource groups, or tags for capture in backups is also easy to setup.

Previously we used a tool which was extremely complex, with veeam it is extremely easy to set up jobs and edit them to add objects

If you're already familiar with Veeam then you won't struggle with this.

It's a very powerful and easy to use backup solution. We were up and running a very short amount of time, with backups running successfully and specific schedules and retention settings also configured. It is a great option for cost savings and good use of time as well once you have automatic backups running and can focus on other priorities.

The process for setting up the software is fairly simple and integrates with Veeam Backup and Replication via a plugin.

The management console is very intuitive and easy to learn. They have great documentation and guides as well.

It was so easy that you thought it wasn't working. Once you saw data and was able to recover it or do a restore with the product those beliefs in the system went to the roof. Once you get a product that does everything you want it to do, you will give it it's props.

Veeam Solutions is an amazing product. They innovate new features regularly, and set industry trends. We have been a Veeam Backup for Azure user company for many years and if they keep up what they are doing we will continue to use them. Backups have always been easy to setup and new users who onboard learn quite quickly how easy it is to administrate Veeam Backup for Azure.

It does a great job

No abnormality seen till now in automatic schedules of the backups.

The product is very easy to setup and use. Existing jobs are easily exported when the target storage location is connected to Azure blob storage. You can setup specific data to go into performance, capacity, or archive tiers in Azure. This allows you to segment data easily to fit business needs as well. Most companies wouldn't want to hold onto a file server with outdated documentation residing on it for multiple years, but would keep backups of SQL databases for years. Veeam Backup for Azure can easily be utilized to remedy that.

Veeam server setup, client install and scheduled backups were working the same day we got a trial licence. We added more targeted PCs and VMs over the coming weeks as work permitted. The overall usability of Veeam is quite good and we have successfully cloned PCs to identical hardware. Backup and recovery times seems to be more constrained by disk I/O than Veeam.

I think the user interface can be well understood by anyone managing a company's replications and backups. Replication jobs are easy to create and implement, and our IT managers receive emails if a job is in an error status. With replication jobs, the more "hands-off", the better. I love the automation of native Azure VM snapshots for fast and frequent agentless protection.

Would be a 10, if the licensing would be softer + we’ve had No settings for incremental-only fulls. This means we can only store away a week of full backups... It's enough, but a smarter setup would make a lot of storage difference

The initial set-up can take some research, for example ensuring all the correct service account roles and permissions are set-up correctly. For day-to-day usage the UI is fairly easy to navigate.

Still clunky compared to the on-prem version but getting better with every release. It does what it needs to do, and does it well. They are stuck with some limitations in the way Azure works so I don't know how much better they can make it but they've just added 365 backup management all from the same pane so it seems they're not done yet.

Usability is one of the best features of Veeam. It is very easy to pick up and also transfer knwoledge

Veeam Backup for Azure is really simple to use with its amazing GUI interface and management dashboard. The integration with the third part is also very straight forward, especially with azure.

Veeam Backup for Azure is designed to be easy to use, allowing users to run fully automated backups after a simple implementation process. we are able to readily to use it once we completed configuration and installation of Veeam Backup for Azure. learning curve of using Veeam Backup for Azure is not so steep.

Veeam is very easy to use and the only knowledge base is full of information.
