Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We had a few VMs running in Azure that needed to be backed up and Veeam for Azure was the perfect fit for our needs. The setup was very easy and we had no issues getting the VMs backed up with our specific schedule and retention setings. We also tested restores without any issues.

It's a very powerful and easy to use backup solution. We were up and running a very short amount of time, with backups running successfully and specific schedules and retention settings also configured. It is a great option for cost savings and good use of time as well once you have automatic backups running and can focus on other priorities.

Barracuda Backup

Veeam Backup for Azure is a much easier product to setup and configure vs other options we've used in the past, the initial install and setup is very straight forward and the interface to manage on-going backups and settings isn't confusing either.

Any VM in Azure is a good option for Veeam backup. It is compatible with most operating systems and the setup and configuration of the backup jobs and schedules is very user friendly. We also use Veeam on-prem to backup VMs in our datacenters but we wanted a solution for the cloud hosted workloads as well.
