Overall Satisfaction with 6sense

We mainly use 6sense for intent data, who is coming on to the website and visiting certain pages along with the Bombora and keyword intent. We're trying to get in front of certain accounts at the right time with the right message. The sales team uses the sales intelligence dashboard to help prioritize accounts, and marketing uses the segments for building audiences both on display ads and LinkedIn campaigns.

  • I think we jumped the gun to early with 6sense with such a small team
  • It has helped positively affect campaigns and website activity
  • We know of a couple meetings generated by 6sense
  • I don't have a lot of hard numbers though
I would say it has help with the signals, but less impact on closing deals. We have a sales cycle that is over 12 month long, and it's been hard to gain rep traction with the stages they use for the AI model. "When do you want a company to show up in purchase in a 12 month sales cycle?" Is a question I often used to say if they are in purchase it means they are doing a lot of activities relating to us.
We primarily used 6sense segments to see which pages companies were visiting on the website, and thus figuring out what stage of the funnel they were in. We were able to make changes to our website to help utilize this functionality. For instance if someone views a product overview or case study, we can then target that company more specifically.
We selected 6sense because it was the had all of the capabilities that we were looking for, plus a little more. We took our time with the decision and met with the vendor multiple times, in the end 6sense was the leader in the categories that we cared about the most, segments, ads, integrations with HubSpot.

I think 6sense is particularly well suited for companies that have a larger team. Most companies I met with at the 6sense conference had large teams of a team of Rev Ops people who specifically worked on 6sense. It's a lot to take on for smaller teams. I would also say people who have shorter sales cycles, the more value you will get.
