Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use Workforce Now for payroll interfaced with Enchanced E-time. It ties both time and attendance to payroll. This allows us to utilize home and work departments that interface with our accounting systems. We also use the GL services to download and upload to our accounting software weekly.
  • Payroll importing from Etime.
  • GL interface.
  • The timeout feature - Make it longer. Or at least make it sign off instead of giving me a big red bar after I have entered a bunch of information that gets lost!
  • Terminations - The box should not have an employee name in it.
  • Deduction changes - the cursor should be in an editable state when chosen. Not make the user backspace - or highlight it to remove/change the number
  • Clean up the Reporting system... all those tabs - all the folders, can't access them from the same places. Messy ....
  • Two layered verification is ridiculous.. I am already logged in as an admin, but to change an address or deposit, I have to wait for a verification code..... why ?
  • It is easy to use.
  • Cost is somewhat high for some services but we roll with it.
  • sending cases to the new Service Connect - and NOT getting answers for weeks upon weeks is getting a little old.
For the most part the system works just fine. Some of the upgrades don't make sense to me, but I get used to them after a while. I do wish they would change that time out feature... It never warns when it is going to timeout and I lose data if I am in a paydata batch. It's very frustrating. I have been complaining about this issue for YEARS and it never gets addressed...
  • E-time
no - The only thing that still has a glich is a new hire being exported into E-time. Creating the file, the new employee 9 times out of 10 isn't in the file.
For doing payroll, it is easy to use. The layout could be a little more condensed. I would love to see them add the self ID to the new hire template so I don't have to go back and update it after I hire and say "done" on that screen. Fix the reporting screen! All those extra tabs are messy, and there is so much duplication on that screen. It takes too many clicks to get where I need to be on my reports. I can't move things to the right folders.

Using ADP Workforce Now

  • I don't understand this question
  • Cancel Automatic pay for a period of time, instead of just one pay period...
Changing payroll vendors is very difficult... all the history gets "lost" or you have to maintain two platforms for years. We are not in the market to do that any time ...

Evaluating ADP Workforce Now and Competitors

Yes - ADP's product - WFN was the new thing when they discontinued the use of the version we were previously using. (Sorry I can't remember it's name)
WFN was pretty much forced on us... but after learning it, it is easy to use

ADP Workforce Now Implementation

It was fine .. I went to some of the online learning classes, those were very helpful
Change management was minimal - I am the only person in payroll so I was the only one affected by the changes..
  • learning the layout
  • finding where everything was (pay history) deductions, employment history etc

ADP Workforce Now Training

the training classes were very good. Enough of them so you could chose one that fit into your schedule.

ADP Workforce Now Support

My account representative doesn't respond to anything. Rarely can you get her on the first try...and when she does answer, most times she cannot help. All of my service connect requests get foisted off on someone else. The support team is great... They are always there to help resolve an issue. Most times I hope Auspria doesn't answer the call..
ProsCons
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Support cares about my success
Slow Resolution
Problems left unsolved
Not kept informed
Escalation required
Difficult to get immediate help
Need to explain problems multiple times
Slow Initial Response
No - didn't know there was one offered, but we would not pay extra for it
Yes - NO -- The time out feature still is my biggest issue with this system.
Once - I don't remember the service team girls name. She was most helpful to solve an issue that I had when adjusting deductions wasn't working on a bunch of employees. She knew exactly how to make it work ! Solved my very urgent issue quickly !

Using ADP Workforce Now

The system is very easy to use once you figure out where everything is "hidden"...
ProsCons
Like to use
Relatively simple
Easy to use
Technical support not required
Well integrated
Quick to learn
Convenient
Feel confident using
Familiar
None
  • Pay roll ups - I love that feature
  • Mass Changes - although it could "retain" the information such as replace deduction..
  • Adding employees is easy enough
  • Terminations now that the field isn't blank when you start. Potentially could terminate the wrong employee -- it has happened
  • Rehire process is a pain... Wish it would retain the Hire date at the top of them "ribbon" instead of replacing it with the rehire date. The hire date is more important to us unless the person has been gone for a long period of time.
