Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Asana every day to manage our list of tasks and to dos across multiple client projects. I can assign my own tasks or assign these to other members of the team.

Each project lists the tasks which are shown as either a Kaban board or a list of items to tick off.

You set a deadline for your tasks and these appear in the calendar view or in your My Tasks view, which shows the things you need to do Today, Upcoming and Later.

This system helped our agency (and me) organize all tomorrows work and any items that come in on the day.

Alternatives Considered

Nifty and Plutio

I like Nifty as this has time sheets, however we preferred the clean interface of Asana. Nifty was a bit overwhelming when we tried it. Their app on Android wasn't anywhere near as mature as Asana's app.

Plutio is great and has many features, but we preferred the look of Asana.

Likelihood to Recommend

For small businesses [Asana] is a very mature and developed project management system which is free. It doesn't feel overwhelming when you first start out and there are good tutorials on the site to understand the concepts. Once the business is larger you move to a paid plan which unlocks some important features like gantt charts and setting start date for tasks.
