Overall Satisfaction with Asana

We utilize Asana in a variety of ways at our company. We have it set up for reoccurring checklists for onboarding and offboarding. We also use it for reoccurring monthly task lists as a quick reminder of items that we need to complete. Lastly, we utilize it when we are working on larger-scale projects that have multiple people in charge of different tasks.
  • This product was easy to set up and saves us a ton of time.
  • It is very easy to assign tasks to others within the platform.
  • There are a lot of features that are available in the free version. This allowed us to get a taste of the product before we invested in it.
  • There are multiple ways to view your tasks. You can organize per project or see all of the items on your own to-do list.
  • At times, email notifications do not come across when you assign a task from a project.
  • We have noticed that it can be difficult to locate tasks within.
  • If you change your mind on how you want to set it up within your team, it is difficult to undo what you have done.
  • Archived boards are somewhat difficult to read once archived.
  • Asana has a favorites section and I like to use that to quickly access important projects for myself.
  • I like that you can comment and keep all information in one thread on a single task.
  • Duplicating boards is super easy and makes creating projects a lot more efficient.
  • Saving templates for things like meeting agendas and special projects.
  • Overall, Asana has had a positive impact on our ROI. It saves us time and keeps us from forgetting about important tasks that need to be completed.
  • It also saves us time from emailing team members to let them know about specific tasks after they have been assigned.
  • It is easy to see how much more time we need to reserve for projects by seeing all of the tasks clearly outlined.
When we were researching project management systems for our small business, Asana gave us the most for free. It really allowed us to dive into the product before we committed to it. The features allowed us to customize aspects of the system to use it for projects as well as checklists and reoccurring task lists.

I have found that Asana works the best for me when using it for reoccurring checklists for onboarding and offboarding of team members. I also like to use it for reoccurring weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks so that I do not forget about them. Since the boards can be easily duplicated, I can efficiently duplicate and add or subtract items to make them relevant for the next year.
