Overall Satisfaction with Atera
We utilize Atera to help monitor all servers and workstations between two companies. We also take advantage of the built in scripting tools to help bring more automation and take proactive measures to prevent issues from occurring. Before Atera we had no visuals into issues that may be happening on any given piece of technology, and now we do!
- Scripting.
- Alerting.
- Small agent footprint.
- More reporting is needed. Coming from other RMM tools that I have used this is one area that really needs improvement. Not saying the current is bad just need more.
- Cost savings and better time management.
- ConnectWise Automate (formerly LabTech), 365 Command and from Kaseya
Compared to Connectwise and Kaseya I would say the cost is much better from Atera, much easier to use, the agent footprint is much better and uses less resources on any given agent. Setup was so much easier overall and the couple of times I did need to use Atera support they were able to quickly solve my problems.
After initial setup of Atera I had to go on vacation soon after getting it set up. I was able to turn over the management console to a colleague of mine and she was able to quickly learn how to use the platform. Other platforms would have been a nightmare to train on.
Simple tasks like deploying software, printers, updates are fairly straightforward as well and have saved us a lot of time.

For the most part we only utilize the RMM portion of Atera but I can see how having the all in one solution would be nice. We may use the other features in the near future and knowing they are there is a major plus!
