Overall Satisfaction with Braze
I use Braze for all user engagement and communication to advertise the benefits and products they have available to them. I span different services from financial services, insurtech and retail discounts.
Pros
- Facilitates easy segmentation of users, down to real-time behaviour and characteristics.
- Easy management of multi-channel communication without workarounds.
- Ability to get detailed engagement reports and segment insights for smarter marketing.
Cons
- Braze Support can be a tad slow or repetitive when trying to get to a solution.
- I would love the ability to see 90 days of a user's engagement history, or at least be able to request it if that's too much of a lift.
- Your search function in Campaigns could be improved with recognising word-matches.
- Positive; the ability to user more than one channel in our user journeys.
- Positive; the ability to upskill marketers using the learning courses.
- Negative; less to do with Braze but we've had limited ability of using the other channels due to issues with set up.
I haven't had much experience using the cross-channel functionality just yet, but data integration, journey orchestration and segmentation have been a huge positive and very useful. It's a big step up compared to our previous CRM, and the potential has been amazing. Once i'm able to confidently create cross-channel journeys that will deliver, i'm sure my sentiment will be even higher.
I would say Braze is far better in creaitng detailed and intelligent marketing journeys than any of the products I have mentioned. Intercom is primarily a support channel and so wasn't suitable for my use case, having limited features and requiring workarounds. Mailchimp is fairly basic, and has the same limitations and Intercom. Hubspot and Salesforce (Pardot) are probably closer to being competitiors, Hubspot in particular, but both in my opinion are better suited for B2B marketing, where you may not need such deep personalisation features or intelligent real-time testing.
