Overall Satisfaction with Braze
I use Braze at my organization to engage and communicate with users on our mobile app. With some of the tools that Braze offers, I can encourage users to become active, remind them to complete onboarding, and share important updates such as product changes, news, or revised terms and conditions. Braze helps solve our challenge of staying connected with users through email and push notifications, especially since our app doesn’t have a built in-app notification center.
Pros
- Email targeting and timely notifications
- In-app content cards
- Tracking events tied to each communication channel
- Audience segmentations and attributions
Cons
- Enabling GIF/videos to be directly uploaded on to Braze's platform
- Easier way of creating canvases; right now it is too complex for someone new who is starting off in the company to understand what things do and where things are
- Ability to track duplicate user profiles within the entire audience segment
- Automated deduplicating email addresses/phone numbers in each targeting segment; right now it's done manually after extracting csv files
- Increased user engagement on the app
- Higher conversion rates for in-app engagement
- Reduced churn for users
- User winback from churned users
Using Braze has had a measurable impact on how we engage and retain our users. The platform’s cross-channel functionality allows us to reach users through email, push, and in-app messaging, making sure that we stay connected even without an in-app notification center. Segmentation has enabled us to tailor communications to different user groups, which increases relevance and drives higher engagement during onboarding and beyond. With journey orchestration, we can guide users through personalized paths, such as reminders to complete onboarding or nudges to become more active, which resulted in stronger adoption and reduced churn. Also, real-time data integration and streaming helped us react quickly to user behavior, making our messaging more timely and impactful.
Braze offers stronger tutorials and more flexible personalization and targeting options compared to other platforms I’ve used. While other tools included some of the same features, they were harder to learn because of limited tutorials or confusing UX/UI. Many of them also used company-specific terminology, which made onboarding difficult. In contrast, Braze uses straightforward, user-friendly language, making it much easier to understand and adopt.
