Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
We use BrowserStack for Testing both our Web and Mobile Apps. The problem we had was the browser-based inspection tool was limited and we had a limited number of physical mobile devices to test with. We use the tool for functional manual testing, regression and smoke testing.
Pros
- Testing on iOS, Safari and iPad form a Windows desktop in chrome
- Performance with data centre nearby in Australia
- Continuous innovation and new features and timely updates of new browsers versions and OS
- Timely support and help remotely
- Keeping up to date with Browser and OS version and ne wmobiel devices
Cons
- Recording to local mp4 file rather than to cloud like loom
- Live chat support for more timely help
- Discounting for multiple product bundling
- Increase timeout period
- Improve UX for adding Quick launch devices
- Testing on real devices in the cloud
- Performance from New Zealand
- Speed of OS and Browser version update release
- Much Faster release cycles
- Improved cross browser quality
- Improved range of OS, browsers and phones for Smoke Testing
- Improved user satisfaction of a modern SaaS solution toolset - fun to use!
It has meant we can find bugs and fix them faster and reduce the risk of the users finding them. It reduces the potential QA bottleneck of limited devices to test with. We have become more professional and less adhoc in our testing since we introduced the tool where it was used at the previous organisation of a peer.
- Sauce Labs, Perfecto by Perforce and BitBar
Simple UX and UI made it easier to use with a Chrome addon. Vastly better performance compared to the other offerings was the critical success factor that won the deal plus the pre-sales team zoom calls.
