Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In a complex system of Research and Development with multiple studies spread across several continents, we have found that linking our teams and managing the processes using ClickUp has saved significant time and improved both our implementation speed and accuracy. Our Projects managers are able to manage more processes with fewer hours spent per process.

Cons

The automated Gantt feature is a bit difficult to use. When modifying a single task time frame it does not always appropriately change the other dependent tasks leading to incorrect time frames that need to be manually modified for every other task.

Collaboration

Our process efficiency and inter-team collaborations have improved significantly. It has also surprisingly helped a lot with SOP generation between remote teams and CROs. Partners and stakeholder management are also taking fewer resources from our internal staff which is freeing up additional revenue opportunities.

All-in-One Productivity Platform

We have been able to use ClickUp as an interface for transferring data between our neural net system and the scientific research team. This implementation has improved the process efficiency of the technology and science team interactions.

Alternatives Considered

Basecamp and SAP Business One

ClickUp is far superior to both Basecamp and SAP. It is much less expensive to implement and considerably more effective. Companywide implementation of SAB was over 2M and took more than 12 months for a company of 50 employees and about 100 contractors. With ClickUp that cost was less than 40K and took only 2 months.

ClickUp is An ideal tool for cross functional teams, remote or hybrid in areas of complex functional needs. ClickUp is probably not the best tool for very small companies with simple procedures however anyone who has multiple contractors, employees, or operational complexities it is a fantastic tool.
