Huge Fan of ClickUp!
Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We use ClickUp as a project management tool within our Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement teams. I use it both to manage my own work and collaborative work with others in fundraising and alumni engagement. This includes communications projects, strategic planning, project planning for student interns and more. In my work environment, we all have more projects on our plates than time to do them, so ClickUp is becoming an important tool for prioritizing and managing heavy workloads.
Pros
- Allows easy collaboration between team members working in different locations or asynchronously.
- Presents information in multiple formats so each user can select what works best for them.
- Sends reminders via email to help me stay on task.
- Allows you to track progress to completion for a project with many components and players.
Cons
- There have been a few members of my team who are reluctant to fully adopt ClickUp, as they feel their current systems are working for them.
- Occasionally, updates that I make to projects (changing dates, adding tasks) don't appear in the system immediately.
- ClickUp has definitely increased my personal productivity and helped me to stay better organized.
- I love having access to my to-do list from anywhere.
- ClickUp has helped my team to stay on task with joint work without personal reminders.
I love the ability to track progress to completion within the app and to add comments and attachments to a task. This has helped us to improve collaboration on projects and tracking of goals without having to manually send reminders. It is also a helpful repository for brainstorming projects.
I've used ClickUp to schedule recurring tasks, so that they appear on my task list as appropriate even if they recur infrequently. This helps me to stay on top of important tasks within the same system I use to manage standalone work. I find that ClickUp is helpful for managing my individual work and larger projects, so that I'm able to streamline project management into this single app.
When our team evaluated potential project management tools, some of which individuals had used personally or in other work settings, we found that ClickUp offered the broadest range of features that were important to us. The different views, in particular, were a selling point when compared with other platforms that offered fewer options.
