Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We use ClickUp to manage nearly every part of our business. This includes our Sales & Marketing efforts, Client Management and Delivery, Internal Skill Development, Internal Processes and Recruiting, and Team Knowledgebase.
- Sales & Marketing - We plot out timelines for Marketing efforts, track time spent on meeting with leads, and deal creation process. Using the Gantt view is extremely helpful for visualizing timelines.
- Client Management - We created a Space dedicated as a CRM. We don't use this to email clients (though we could), but to store all relevant information, and to track client health on a weekly basis. Notes are added to see a helpful review of how each client has changed over time.
- Client Delivery - Every client has a folder with different lists for delivery lines. We have a massive library of process templates built out to simplify task and project assignment for those things that are often repeated across clients. Time is tracked here, and information generated for dashboard reports.
- Skill Development - We value continued education and track time spent on this, and outline future trainings for team members. We also have templates saved for video trainings and outlines that all team members go through.
- Recruiting - This is helpful for documenting new applicants and new hires. This allows for team input on the hiring process, and assigning different roles in the process.
- Team Knowledgebase - The docs capability in ClickUp is fantastic for logging details about how we use ClickUp, what our processes are, what our values are, and any other information the team needs to perform their job well.
- Customization - multiple view available to achieve what you're after
- ClickApps - even more customization to add desired fields or functionality
- Reporting - the ability to analyze all of the data you add to ClickUp is great
- Consistency - there are times where the app can be slow
- Trainings - We used ZenPilot's approach for agencies. Without their guidance, we would have created a mess.
- It's difficult to quantify, but we moved from Basecamp to ClickUp, and it helped us to streamline our processes and have a fantastic year in 2022.
- We now have accurate insight into time spent on deliverables for each client because of time tracking features and reporting.
- Implementing templated processes for consistent work
- Better management of tasks and fewer things "falling through the cracks"
- Better streamlining of projects that require input from multiple team members
All of our work and documentation lives within ClickUp. We still use Google Drive for some components and Slack for internal team chat, but it has definitely simplified what we do.
