Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We use ClickUp to plan tasks and run our Sprints. We appreciate the ability to collaborate in real-time, which is something our small team does often. We needed a tool that was easy to learn to use as well. one where we could track our progress over time.
  • Endless Customizability
  • Templates for Sprints
  • Document collaboration
  • Real-time updates
  • Overwhelming customizability
  • Duplicating v Copying a task is confusing
  • could have used more guidance on how to set up ClickUp for a small team instead of an entire org, which is the original info i read
  • We are able to have more effective Sprint Reviews and easily reuse our template every sprint
  • We are able to do more purposeful work, taking less time to flounder on what we should be doing
  • having a central location for documentation and tasking saves us a lot of time tracking all of these down
We use ClickUp as a collaboration tool for sharing deliverables related to projects, such as assumptions and user stories. We are able to build roadmaps that anyone on the team can investigate and adjust. We really like to use documents as a way to do shared note taking and as a way to record our accomplishments and action items for each sprint.
ClickUp has greatly increased our productivity. Previously our team used Asana and I couldn't even get anyone to log in to it. Now in ClickUp, those on our team can easily find and add tasks, and move them around to track work. We were able to import any task we still had in Asana and that worked well for us.
I personally like Azure more but my current team does not do any development work ourselves and thus we thought it would be inappropriate. I find Jira to be a bit less flexible than ClickUp, though both require a certain level of learning. People moving from Jira or Azure to ClickUp might find the change challenging at first but, in my experience, ClickUp is easy enough to learn so it shouldn't be a big problem.

Do you think ClickUp delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ClickUp's feature set?

Yes

Did ClickUp live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of ClickUp go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy ClickUp again?

Yes

In my opinion, ClickUp is well suited for keeping large teams and organizations on track, not so much for small teams that need to collaborate with teams that are working outside of ClickUp. I think it is great for keeping tasks organized, but the subtask feature is limited. I also think it is very good for creating a shared wiki space for notes, sprint reviews, etc with great real-time updating that make collaborating effective.
