Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We use ClickUp for our business for everything from lead and sale management, through to tracking tasks required for delivery of our services, internal team communication, content creation and management, team management and everything in between! ClickUp allows us to make sure we deliver exactly what we promise to, allows us to take our really big ideas and using ClickUp AI break these down into smaller actionalbe tasks that allow us to roll these ideas out. Bringing out team communication into ClickUp chat has allowed us to remove other tools from our tech stack and unite everything into the one platform.

Pros

  • Project management - everything we need to onboarding, deliver services and offboard our clients
  • Team communication - no more emails back in forwards, instead we have simple channels for everything our team needs to discuss
  • SOP Management - using ClickUp docs for our standard operating procedures and combining this with the AI has created a great knowledge management system meaning our team can get all the answers that they need, when they need them.

Cons

  • Calendar - while the new calendar is a great start, being able to schedule things across multiple calendars would be amazing.
  • Capacity planning - being able to tell ClickUp eaxctly when hours estimated on a task are going to be done so we can clearly see where our team is at. For example, at the moment if you have a task start on a Monday and due on a Friday with 10 hours time estimated, ClickUp automatically splits that time between the 5 days which isn't accurate as the team could be spending 8 hours one day, and the rest of the time across the other 4 days.
  • Budgeting - it would be great to be able to allocate costs per hour against team members and for projects overall to be able to look at the financial side of the work that we are doing.
  • It has saved us 10 hours per week in working out what needs to be done for each client
  • It has allowed us to execute on projects more confidently knowing that nothing is being missed
  • We have saved money by not needing additional apps such as a sales management software
  • It has reduced our email inboxes by half with internal communication moving to ClickUp chat and automations that turn client emails into tasks
Our collaboration has greatly improved as we are able to get quick answers to the things that we need. It also allows us to gather feedback on our continuous improvement ideas and be able to quickly act on these ideas.
The reason we keep going back to ClickUp is for it's easy ability to overlap ALL work being done within our business without needing to change screens. We also choose ClickUp for it's chat functionality and now it's AI tools.

I find that ClickUp is really great for service based businesses and those needing a way to manage internal team tasks and marketing content.

I find that it is not so suited for people who need really detailed task financial reporting (such as costs per team member) or time reports.
