Dropbox in a nutshell
Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Dropbox has been a vital part of my organization's document storage and collaboration for several years. It has proven to be invaluable with sharing, securing, and restoring data. Syncing document across devices in a seamless manner was one of the initial objectives that were achieved. Dropbox has been our go to solution for the past 10+ years.
Pros
- document uploading is seamless
- document sharing is quick, easy, and secure
- document syncing is quick and effective across various OS systems and mobile devices
- restoring files from a Dropbox cloud based solution is a vital feature.
Cons
- Document sharing and commenting could be improved
- Improved social collaborations would make Dropbox more stickie
- Increased integration points with other solutions would make Dropbox more valuable.
- Dropbox has allowed my organization to onboard new users easily without deep technical requirements
- Dropbox allows us to easily and securely share client documents in a safe and compliant manner
- Dropbox is an easily deployed solution with strong syncing functionality
- Dropbox has solid access controls for compliance.
Dropbox fares well against the other solutions in the market. We use various platforms across our organization, but Dropbox has been the most widely used. I think the track record and longevity have allowed us not to shop around for other solutions.
Dropbox works well in the individual and small business space. I am unfamiliar with Dropbox as an enterprise solution.
