Overall Satisfaction with FreshBooks

We use Freshbook for bookkeeping and account production, but a few of our clients also use it for the same reason. The software offers free online software solutions for Barclays clients and is one of the leaders on the market, providing all the needed features for us and our clients.

  • Link with other software.
  • The software should include the MTD feature, not a third-party add-on.
  • More advanced reporting.
  • Software is free for us and for other Barclays users; therefore, ROI is infinite.
  • It does save time with online solutions.
  • It cuts error time through the use of an online system that automatically updates for all users.
It is well-built software with no significant drawbacks. It offers all the necessary futures expected from online software. However, it is not yet up there with Xero and QuickBooks regarding connections with other software and advanced reporting features. The developers work closely with accountants, and therefore, I expect further development of the software.
FreshBooks does very well in comparison, especially since it is free software for Barclays bank users. Sage software is much worse than FreshBooks. However, Xero and QuickBooks, the market leaders, are still ahead with usability, additional features, reporting, and connection with third-party software providers. We chose FreshBooks as it does everything we require from this type of software.

FreshBooks is very useful for simple small businesses with a limited number of transactions. The software does not have inbuilt add-ons such as payroll and VAT MTD; however, it does link with third-party providers, which works pretty well. This software will work well for both small limited companies and sole traders.
