Overall Satisfaction with Gong
We use Gong for multiple reasons, but primarily as a CS org, we use it to coach our team on calls that we can't attend in person, to create libraries of "good" examples of certain talk tracks, to create trackers on specific phrases and words that we want to be aware of (i.e., churn indicators, upsell opportunities) and have recently used it for scoring particular calls based on the content of the conversation. Additionally, I know some members of our organization utilize the e-mail summary AI feature to help with follow-up emails.
Pros
- Call recording.
- Call transcription.
- AI features to streamline workflows.
- Coaching and scorecards for calls.
Cons
- Still very sales focused in a lot of the tracking areas, from what I can tell.
- Trackers can be over-engineered.
- It's easy to not use all the functionality if you don't take the time to set it up and think through how you want to use it.
- Time savings on email recaps and meeting notes; fully automated if you let the team lean into these features!
- It saves me time from having to attend every client call, especially since most of my team is 3 hours ahead of me, so I have limited time to join their calls to begin with.
- Specific feedback about a moment vs. generic feedback.
Yes, it has, but I can't think of any specific feedback or moments now.
We have not delved into this yet.
