Hootsuite - A basic social management tool that lacks innovation, functionality and flexible pricing options.
Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite
We utilize HootSuite as our central point of management of all of our active social channels. This currently includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Pinterest. Hootsuite solves a very simple issue - providing a single access point to log in to each social channel, schedule posts, and manage any follower engagements without having to log in to or manage these functions from with each of the social apps. Being that this is a web-based tool, Hootsuite overcomes the issues related to posting through a native app on a mobile phone.

- single viewpoint to quickly review and manage all social feedback and engagement from followers.
- Very easy to use UX that provides a full range of basic social management functionality.
- Influencer recruitment - we would like to be able to research potential influencers to join our program.
- Poor reporting and analytics within each platform within the Pro version.
- Somewhat expensive for the functionality provided.
- Only 1 user account provided in the Pro version.
- Positive: Optimize our team's time in managing and scheduling social posts leading to better productivity.
- Positive: Singular viewpoint to present basic performance to senior management.
- Negative: Lack of robust reporting limits our ability to affect our social channel growth.
- Negative: No influencer tools force us to look to another solution resulting in additional expense and workflow.
Hootsuite really doesn't provide a level of functionality that meets these other players in the space. While Hootsuite was an early entrant into the space and has benefited from this, they lack the innovation, functionality, and flexible pricing options that these other solutions provide. Needless to say, we will be making a move to a new solution in 2022.

Why should we pay additional for ongoing support?
Nonexistent. I place Hootsuite at the bottom of all vendor partnerships that we have in place to support our digital experience. Lack of account management, support, and customer success should be a foundational feature of any company.
