Valuable platform with some limitations
Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite
We use Hootsuite for composing posts, scheduling posts and publishing on Facebook and LinkedIn. We occasionally use it to moderate messages as well. This helps us cut down some time spent on social media management. We also use Hootsuite listening to identify trends related in our province that are relevant to our stakeholders and beneficiaries.
Pros
- Owly GPT is a really valuable feature that saves a lot of time
- Recommended times for posting
- Ease of creating posts across platforms and the ability to switch tabs to tweak/customize content by platform
Cons
- Threads does not work well on Hootsuite - cannot post to a topic, unable to tag
- Doesn't support Bluesky social
- Analytics are difficult to use and don't provide metrics I need for my work
- Saves time in day-to-day tasks
- Enables us to handle social media management on two of four core platforms we use
- Assists with suggesting best times to post for engagement
Hootsuite is great for Facebook and LinkedIn posts, and we use it for these two channels regularly. However, it doesn't work well with Threads and doesn't work at all for Bluesky social which is disappointing. Would give a much higher rating if these two platforms were better supported/available on Hootsuite.
The main reason we selected Hootsuite instead of Zoho Social was because Hootsuite offered a very generous charitable discount, making it much more affordable for our organization. We really appreciate that this discount was made available and will likely continue with Hootsuite.
