Hootsuite is a hoot
Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite
Hootsuite is used for all of our internal media tracking. We launched a small media group (Rise Free Media) last year where we have multiple channels led by internal teams - YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. We needed a system where we could track all of the views and metrics for social media to determine the reach and effectiveness of these channels. Hootsuite solved this issue with ease!
Pros
- Reporting. We are able to pull accurate and concise data points on our channels.
- Planning and calendaring. We love that we are able to have our teams plan out content across months so that we are never feeling behind schedule on getting content out there.
- Creating content natively in the platform!
Cons
- One thing that is more of a nice-to-have would be being able to see metrics and data points directly on the calendar feature instead of having to leave there to go to analytics.
- Through this platform, our followers have grown 32%.
- We have gone from posting less than once per week to at least 2-3 times per week.
- Engagement has increased by more than 2000% since last month and even more since the beginning of implementation.
Before Hootsuite, we did not have a plan for social media, we just posted whenever we felt like we wanted to. With this platform, we have invested in our social pages and have goals we would now like to reach with follower counts and reach and engagement. We also have created approval pipelines to make things organized and ensure that our branding, imaging, and messaging is consistent across all of our channels.
Sprout Social does not compare to Hootsuite; it was so much more expensive and internally was not as user-friendly. I felt overwhelmed in Sprout Social and that led to us not really effectively using that platform.
