Overall Satisfaction with GoToConnect (formerly Jive)

We use GoToConnect as our primary phone service for our entire company. We use GoToConnect for internal calls as well as external calls. We are a client facing company and have to get on a call with clients to support and maintain the software we sell them. We also use it to call our international clients as well. On a day to day [basis] for our organization, we have to contact clients about the tickets that they have created as well as call new clients for implementation.
  • It has a chat feature for GoToConnect users that you can use to communicate if you are on another call
  • The conference calling feature is very easy to use
  • The program is very easy to use and is user-friendly
  • The devices you pair with GoToConnect sometimes don't work
  • The UI freezes sometimes and requires the computer to be restarted
  • It is missing the ability to call directly from email signatures, so you can't easily just click on the number and it re-route to XLIte
  • GoToConnect allows us to increase our customer service and support
  • GoToConnect sometimes does waste a lot of setup time for those users who have difficulty connecting devices
  • GoToConnect increases productivity amongst the teams in our company
We initially looked at Skype for business as it seemed to be the most popular use for many companies. However, it did not fit in out budget and we were looking for something right for our team. There are some collaboration things that are available in Skype that we don't really need at this point.
I think GoToConnect is very good for a small organization and if it fits in the budget. It works well with a small team that is client facing. I don't think GoToConnect is appropriate for huge organizations as it is missing a lot of features that are needed for collaboration amongst team members.
