Overall Satisfaction with GoToConnect (formerly Jive)
We use GoToConnect Hosted VoIP as our phone communication provider and internet fax provider for the entire office. It simplifies the faxing process, as faxes received come straight into our e-mails. The GoToConnect app on our mobile phones for when we are out of the office is great - no more forwarding calls. Calls come straight to my cell phone - which also has an added bonus where I can turn that feature off, but still receive the notifications of the calls on my cell. I love it!
- Voicemails are sent to our e-mails, phones and cell phones. We will be notified via the app on our cell phones if we are not in the office and can retrieve them from wherever we are!
- Pricing. Love it. Very streamlined and straight forward.
- Customer service is great. They keep a ticket open until we say to close it.
- Onboarding was so easy with GoToConnect. Their person logged right into my computer screen and we both were involved. I got to see how it is done (which by the way, is super cool). Everything was done in one simple session. Yes, it took over an hour, but it was done in one.
- Faxing. Currently faxing can only come into one e-mail address. To work around that issue, we created a new e-mail just for the incoming GoToConnect faxes, and then that e-mail was set to forward to all e-mail addresses in the office.
- It's had a positive impact as the functionality of GoToConnect over our previous VoIP system provider is much better. This means less time on the phone with tech support trying to figure out what is wrong, which in turn means I can actually now be doing work that I am supposed to be doing!
- The costs are lower than my previous, non functioning VoIP provider's fees.
- Vonage Business Cloud
Vonage was horrible. When we started on VoIP, we were with Vocalocity. Vocalocity was great, but Vonage bought them out and one by one the features we had no longer worked. Voicemails no longer came into e-mails. Outgoing faxes never were sent and we didn't know - FOR MONTHS! Incoming faxes stopped coming to my e-mail. All e-mail notifications ceased to exist for me. Tech support blamed my hosting company. Hours and hours were spent on the phone and we never got it to work, event through multiple phone calls over a 1.5 year period. We finally said GOODBYE! Now that I found GoToConnect Hosted VoIP, I wish I had said goodbye much sooner! Life is so much less stressful when you are operating a business and the phones and faxing work the way you want them to. Thank you GoToConnect!
